This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. If you have a soft spot for an underdog with a whole lot of heart, then this cool little girl named Mimi just might be exactly who you've been looking for! This 21-pound Chihuahua / Fiest mix is just under a year old and is the perfect combination of cautiously curious and endearingly sweet. She came from a bad situation, and watching her discover the joy of toys, chew bones, and the occasional stolen shoe is the kind of thing that makes your heart absolutely melt. Mimi is housetrained when on a good schedule, loves her crate and treats it like her personal treasure vault where she stashes her favorite toys for safekeeping. She gets zoomies outside and then zooms back to stare up at you with the happiest little face, like she just wants to make sure you're having as much fun as she is. She also enjoys winding down next to her people, sometimes resting her head on a shoulder. She is still learning leash manners and does great with car rides in her carrier. Mimi is good with most calm dogs and cats, and once she warms up to you she is an absolute love. She is a sensitive soul who needs patience while she builds confidence, and a securely fenced yard is a must since she will need time to feel safe and settled in a new environment. Mimi would thrive with a calm, patient family who loves cheering on the shy ones and watching them blossom. She just needs someone willing to show her the world is safe, and in return she will love you with everything she has got. Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Meet Kit, the 15-pound foxy little charmer who is proof that great things really do come in small packages! This adorable Chihuahua/Rat Terrier looking mix has the most expressive face you've ever seen on a dog, and when you talk to her, she tilts her head to the side like she is hanging on your every word and genuinely trying to understand you. Kit is a shy girl who has been quietly blossoming in her foster home, and the transformation has been beautiful to watch. She is housetrained, leash trained, travels well in the car, and has claimed her crate as her own cozy safe space that she happily runs to when she wants to feel secure. At just 1.5 years old and with a low-to-medium energy level, she is perfectly content soaking up sun on the porch, going for leisurely walks, and cuddling up with her favorite person. Oh, and treats. Kit is very, very enthusiastic about treats. She hasn't learned any formal commands yet, which means her new home gets the fun of teaching her! She is clearly intelligent and tuned in to the people around her, so training should be a rewarding experience for everyone involved. Kit would do best as the star of the show in a calm, patient home where she can continue building her confidence at her own pace. She would love being an only dog or having just one larger canine companion, and a quieter adult household where she feels safe and cherished would truly help her shine. This sweet little girl has so much love to give once she trusts you, and she is absolutely worth the wait.
