Story
Meet Teddy – Part Teddy Bear, Part Lion! With his fluffy coat and proud stance, Teddy looks like a perfect mix of a snuggly teddy bear and a majestic lion. This handsome Chow came to us after being found abandoned in the Central Valley, covered in foxtails and painful mats—but his spirit stayed strong. True to his breed, Teddy can be a bit aloof at first, but once he warms up, he’s incredibly sweet and surprisingly cuddly. He’s been playful with other dogs and is slowly learning to trust again, revealing a gentle, affectionate side that’s impossible not to love. Now cleaned up and feeling better, Teddy is ready for his next chapter with someone who understands the unique charm of Chows and is ready to give him the patience and love he deserves.

Story
Teddy is an affectionate and loving Chow, handsome and low maintenance. Like most his breed, he prefers to be aloof, but once he warms up to you, he wants all the affection in the world and is incredibly loyal. As a rescue, he was barely hanging on in the streets of San Bernardino. Over the last 5 years, I've raised him to be a loving and trusting pup. He's super low maintenance, requiring only 1-2 walks a day and warms up fast to new people; he just needs a proper introduction without rough handling. Unfortunately, due to major life events, I can no longer provide a home for him. I am currently living with 1 other dog, and we all get along. He doesn't bark and shares his toys and likes to play chase. Though Teddy doesn't like crates, he is potty trained and very food motivated, making him easy to train. He's a sucker for long walks, and for a boy with a double-coat he sheds only a little. He deserves a loving home.
