Story
Ludwig is a very unique pup with his fluffy black/chocolate-brown coat, floppy Chow Chow fur, and sweet demeanor. He is ALL CHOW!! This beloved breed is a clean and very smart dog, Ludwig has been through the wringer but has come out on the other side and is ready for his FUR-ever home! Chows are so clean and happy (but if you look at his pics, he LOVES the rain and maybe a little mud!) he will be a pup that needs a regular grooming appt with in between "emergency" appointments, lol. You must know the breed to adopt him, he is a total sweetheart who will steal your heart. He is greet with other dogs and likely would prefer to be in home with a buddy. He can give a warning to other dogs near his food bowl, but nothing more than that. When you adopt Ludwig, YOU will be the lucky one! But you better hurry!! He won't be waiting long ;D Local adoption fee is $350 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Butch is a sweet hearted senior who was abandoned at a shelter when his owners divorced. Going from having a home all your life to being in a loud, scary shelter must be incredibly hard. We were told Butch is 9 years old, but I suspect he is more like 12. He was in horrific condition at the shelter and had to be shaved because he was so matted. He is a very low key, unassuming boy who would be perfectly content to lie at your feet and just have your company. He doesn't ask for much and it takes very little to make him a happy boy. I hope someone will open their heart to Butch. He deserves to live out his days with someone who loves him, with the comfort of a soft bed for his old bones. He's in good health but does have some allergies that cause him to gnaw on his legs and causes eye boogers to develop often. He is not on any medication other than his monthly preventives. He is located in Arkansas but transport to the northeast is available. He can be adopted here in AR or in the northeast. His fee is waived. He is good with other low energy dogs but would not do well with young dogs pestering him, and he is not a candidate for a home with cats. We believe he is a chow mix and weighs about 75lbs. Please share. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. Story
Hooti can't seem to stop havin' a hoot! This puppy is having the time of her life right now and can't wait to be adopted by a loving, caring, and fun-having family! Hooti was rescued by a very nice foster and is currently learning how to be the best puppy ever. She's working on crate and house training and doing okay in both. Hooti tends to be a screamer when she's in the crate and knows your about to let her out. Hooti tends to sleep through the night but might need a potty break. Hooti is your typical puppy who loves to play and chews on things, she loves playing hard with other dogs but might be a bit too much with littles and seniors. She tends to chase cats. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Introducing Copper, the laid-back, medium-energy pup with a heart of gold! At 7 months old and 41 pounds, this plush teddy bear of a Golden Chow mix is looking for a home of his own. Copper's personality is as charming as it is unique. He’s a bit reserved and needs some time to warm up to new people, but once he does, he’ll flash you his adorable, big smile. He's quiet in his crate, walks well on a leash, and is fully housebroken—no accidents here! Copper loves to know what his human is up to but is equally happy chilling on his own. He’s got a little stubborn streak, but with gentle correction, he’s easy to guide. Though he's still learning to play with toys properly, Copper has a blast tearing them up. He enjoys running with other dogs and gets along well with cats too. While he might be shy with strangers, there’s not a mean bone in his body—just a sweet, submissive nature waiting to blossom. Copper would thrive in a home where he can chill out or go on adventurous hikes. He’s content being the only dog but would love a furry friend to run with. If you’re looking for a loyal, laid-back companion who’s ready to be a part of your world, Copper is your guy. Give this sweet boy the loving home he deserves!    Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. July 26, 2024, 3:58 pm

Story
I am a pedigree, full chow with AKC certification. I grew up from 8 wks old in CT, and I really love running in the snow. I am a playful chow, and grew up in a home with a cat. The youngest people in our household were high-school aged when I came home, so I have not had exposure to young children. I attended puppy school and follow many commands and play games for treats very well. I love my toys, chasing/fetching soft balls and toys, and running around the backyard playing. I also love: Tummy scratches; A gentle voice and a gentle touch; Patient voices; being brushed. I can be left home without worry of destruction or accidents. I'm not afraid of thunder or fireworks. But like most chows I am shy of new people I don't know. I do not ever jump up on people. Leash walking is hard for me, so you'll need a fenced in yard or secure area for me to exercise, play and nap outside in the fresh air. When we are both off leash, I have played well with other dogs in my yard.
