However he loves to stay in the house and would do great walking on a leash. He's a beautiful guy! He is not an aggressive chow chow. This is a courtesy post!! This girl.is very sweet. She generally does well with people. She has never shown aggression. However she doesn't do good with big dogs. She does well with small dogs. She is housebroke and crate trained. She would do good with a fenced in yard. Prefer someone with chow chow experience. She is a small chow.

Story
*hair blowing in the wind (even though she's indoors)* *unexplained sparkles in the air* *faint heavenly music* Yes, she is me. Chloe. Now that you are blinded by my beauty, let me explain why I am the absolute best girl on the inside too and so deserving of your (and everyone's) undivided adoration. I'm loyal, smart as a whip, and FUN, just to name a few. Unfortunately, I didn't come from the most glamorous beginnings. I was an outdoor doggy with not much interaction from birth and my family also left me behind when they moved. Thus, I wasn't really brought up interacting with you humans or being touched/handled. I've had my quirks while adjusting to being a family dog and will definitely need someone patient and understanding with me. (If you get too touchy right away, I don't like that and will try to protect myself.) However, if you are slow and gain my trust I will HANG on your every move. I have adjusted very quickly in the past with proper introductions to people. Even still, I would probably do best in a home without young children. I'm a lady after all and need time to sniff you out before you get grabby. I am an active girl and love to feel the wind in my hair outdoors too. I run with the speed of light and have a prey drive to sniff out bugs, lizards and more. I also love to play tug of war and fetch with my foster mommy inside. I bounce, bounce, bounce all the time! I am great on leash so walks and hikes would be great for me. Getting my energy out will help me focus on training too. I am very smart and learn quickly, but tend to lose interest if I'm still chock full of go, go, go!! With all of this perfection, all of your pet needs should be fulfilled, right? RIGHT? I hope so because I would do great as an only pet in the home. I have been able to co-exist with dogs at the rescue but I am a bit of a diva in my foster home. I have a domineering personality sometimes and will even mark like a male when I come across another dog's scent in my house. How dare they??? Existing? HERE? (She is otherwise house trained.) Considering that you and I know each other a little better now, you may pet me. Yes, I am very soft, I know. Please keep in mind that I am a Chow/shepherd mix and have hair that will require brushing, maybe even the occasional spa treatment, Swedish massage, 24k gold facials...yeahhhhhhhhhh.... Sorry! I forgot you were here. In all seriousness, once I trust you, I will allow you to brush me out without much fuss. It doesn't need to be daily but I am a rough and tumble kinda gal and can use help keeping my locks flowing and free. I also shed so if I seem to be losing my girlish figure, it's probably just extra hair that needs to be brushed off. I hope you have a strong vacuum. ;) I could go on for days about myself, but I'll stop here. Don't wanna overwhelm you. If you think you are up for the challenge of a total spitfire like me, please feel free to send in an application and foster mommy can tell you more about all of the grandeur that is...CHLOE. Story
We got Lilly in Athens, GA when she was 3 months old. She was very small, and we were told she was a German Shepherd - Golden Retriever mix. She clearly is not ha. We’ve decided the closest is Border Collie & Chow Chow. She will be 6 years old in July. She is crate trained and has always loved her crate. She does long car rides really well. She only has accidents indoors if she’s sick. She has been trained very well and comes with an E-collar. She has been off-leash trained and loves to go hiking. She is okay around other dogs and kids, but a dog-free, kid-free house would be best and her preference - ha. We are rejoining, because we foster, and we are choosing to prioritize our little humans over her. It breaks our hearts, but we’re praying that she can a home that loves her like we used to be able to.

Why He Looking for a New Home: He deserves a family who can give him daily walks, playtime, and attention & give him the priority he deserves, and I want him to thrive in a home that loves him as much as he deserves. What He Needs: A patient, loving family who has time to engage with him, continue his training, and shower him with love. Hes loyal, affectionate, and will make a wonderful companion. Interested in Giving Him a Forever Home? Please reach out to me with a little information about yourself, your living situation, and your experience with dogs. Im happy to answer any questions and set up a time for you to meet him! PLEASE be good to him, I had him since he was 6 months so this is hard for me. I didn't know compensation was a thing on here, that’s the least of my concerns.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. We rescued Lola from Memphis Animal Control on 4-26-25. She was found close to their facility, with another dog and was very underweight. She becomes more beautiful by the day.   Lola is a sweet, laid back girl, who enjoys the simple pleasures in life (napping and eating) and is ready to find her forever family to retire with.  She’s 8-10 years old, about 40 lbs, and potty trained. She isn’t crate trained in her foster home, but sleeps peacefully at night in her room.    Lola enjoys going to Petco and meeting new people, she gets along with other dogs, but does try to chase cats, so is likely best suited for a home with no cats, unless the situation can be managed.   She does have some back issues and requires daily pain medication (currently less than $20 a month). We believe a calm home, with no small children would be best.    If you would like to apply to adopt Lola, click on the Adoption Application page!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 4, 2026, 7:19 pm
