Story
*hair blowing in the wind (even though she's indoors)* *unexplained sparkles in the air* *faint heavenly music* Yes, she is me. Chloe. Now that you are blinded by my beauty, let me explain why I am the absolute best girl on the inside too and so deserving of your (and everyone's) undivided adoration. I'm loyal, smart as a whip, and FUN, just to name a few. Unfortunately, I didn't come from the most glamorous beginnings. I was an outdoor doggy with not much interaction from birth and my family also left me behind when they moved. Thus, I wasn't really brought up interacting with you humans or being touched/handled. I've had my quirks while adjusting to being a family dog and will definitely need someone patient and understanding with me. (If you get too touchy right away, I don't like that and will try to protect myself.) However, if you are slow and gain my trust I will HANG on your every move. I have adjusted very quickly in the past with proper introductions to people. Even still, I would probably do best in a home without young children. I'm a lady after all and need time to sniff you out before you get grabby. I am an active girl and love to feel the wind in my hair outdoors too. I run with the speed of light and have a prey drive to sniff out bugs, lizards and more. I also love to play tug of war and fetch with my foster mommy inside. I bounce, bounce, bounce all the time! I am great on leash so walks and hikes would be great for me. Getting my energy out will help me focus on training too. I am very smart and learn quickly, but tend to lose interest if I'm still chock full of go, go, go!! With all of this perfection, all of your pet needs should be fulfilled, right? RIGHT? I hope so because I would do great as an only pet in the home. I have been able to co-exist with dogs at the rescue but I am a bit of a diva in my foster home. I have a domineering personality sometimes and will even mark like a male when I come across another dog's scent in my house. How dare they??? Existing? HERE? (She is otherwise house trained.) Considering that you and I know each other a little better now, you may pet me. Yes, I am very soft, I know. Please keep in mind that I am a Chow/shepherd mix and have hair that will require brushing, maybe even the occasional spa treatment, Swedish massage, 24k gold facials...yeahhhhhhhhhh.... Sorry! I forgot you were here. In all seriousness, once I trust you, I will allow you to brush me out without much fuss. It doesn't need to be daily but I am a rough and tumble kinda gal and can use help keeping my locks flowing and free. I also shed so if I seem to be losing my girlish figure, it's probably just extra hair that needs to be brushed off. I hope you have a strong vacuum. ;) I could go on for days about myself, but I'll stop here. Don't wanna overwhelm you. If you think you are up for the challenge of a total spitfire like me, please feel free to send in an application and foster mommy can tell you more about all of the grandeur that is...CHLOE. Story
This sweet momma is 5 years old, vaccinated, and healthy. Gypsy loves her play time, fetch especially, and leashed walks. She's incredibly well behaved on a leash and house trained. Gypsy LOVES hanging out with her humans (of all ages!). If you're looking for a cuddle bug, you found her! This sweet girl would prefer a household where she would be able to enjoy lots of fun outside time. Gypsy is a bit picky when it comes to her dog-mates. She does best with a submissive or younger partner... Gypsy has a bit of a bossy side (don't we all). Please reach out for more information or to schedule a meet and greet!

Story
Kara is a 6 year old chow mix, that up until recently has done well with other dogs. However, my mother-in-law is fostering my brother-in-laws dogs while he is stationed in Spain. Kara has decided that she does not like his female dog and has been starting fights. Unfortunately, keeping them separated 100% of the time has become impossible because I spend half my week at her home for work and have no choice but to bring her when my husband is out of town. The most recent fight led to my leg becoming collateral damage. So for the safety all involved, I've had to make the heartbreaking decision to re-home my dog. She is very loving and protective, and she has very strong maternal instincts and has helped me raise many foster kittens. I would NOT suggest she go to a home with small children, because she is easily excitable and jumps on people.

Story
Denise was dumped on the southside of San Antonio,Texas, with her brother. She has spent a year with my family, she has been good to my three children and cats. She is a a happy inside girl, loving, and athletic. I love her so much, but I know she needs more attention and space. Denise is shy around men. She does not do well with any other dogs, she get aggressive around other dogs, even small ones. She deserves a big backyard and more walks. She is special to me.

Story
Maeve was found on a friend’s property that they could not take care of. I’ve had her since late November of last year (2023) but have became too busy to give her the attention and training she needs and deserves. She’s done well at dog parks and other people. She is very high energy though and will need someone present with her most of the day.
