Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.HW NegativeHandsome boy Yeti was DNA tested, and he is 86% Great Pyrenees, 5% Chow Chow, 5% Siberian Husky, and 4% German Shepherd.  Yeti's thick luxurious coat shows off his Siberian Husky side, with his subtle blondish Husky-like face mask, and his Chow Chow side, with a slight reddish blonde tint to his very thick dense Pyr coat. Yeti loves to jump, play and wrestle with his foster Husky pack too.  Sweet boy Yeti was known as Scruffy, way back in March of 2025, when he was at the City of Houston BARC shelter, since his coat was full of grass burrs, covered in car grease oil grime, his fur was so densely matted, plus he had multiple facial and bodily injuries, from his time on the streets.  After healing fully, and now being very healthy, while in GPAT foster care, Yeti is such a very handsome Pyr!  He's a petite Pyr boy, as he's a floofy smaller than expected Pyr mix, due to his breed mix, so he is just the perfect size Yeti for all of your adventures!  Adopt Yeti!  Adoption Criteria (Young Adult) 1. Texas Adopters, and out of state adopters will be considered on a case by case basis. 2. Adoption Fee: $375.00 (includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test). 3. We only adopt out companion dogs that will be considered part of the family and will be primarily inside dogs.   4. Preference is for applicants to have some knowledge and experience with the Great Pyrenees breed. Specific information about the breed will be shared during the interview/virtual home visit.  5. Secure and visible fencing is required. In a very few cases, fencing options will be considered based on the specific needs of a particular dog.  6. Preference is for applicants willing to provide "positive" training to adopted dogs. 7. All current pets in adoptive homes should be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines.       Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 18, 2026, 10:33 am

Story
Meet Chief, a gentle and sweet puppy with a mellow temperament. Despite his shyness, Chief is curious and playful, always alert yet a bit timid. He`s skittish but has mastered leash training, though he remains a bit nervous on walks. He weighs 32 pounds and will need your help with house training. Chief`s ideal home would be one that offers patience and love, helping him feel secure and cherished. The only dog he knows is his sister and we haven`t seen him interact yet with children. Adopting Chief means gaining a loyal friend who will gradually unfold his vibrant personality and bring joy and gentle companionship to his new family. (tw 6/22/2026)
