Meet Bess
Bess is a 2-year-old, 19 pound sweetheart who came from a backyard breeding/hoarding situation with her puppies in Louisiana. She can be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly and is always happy once she feels safe.

Bess is quiet, gentle, and easy to love. Like a typical small dog, she prefers to go outside, do her business, and trot right back to the door where comfort is waiting.

Bess does well with other dogs, but she can feel intimidated by larger groups of dogs or multiple big dogs at once. When things get too busy or overwhelming, she prefers to find a quiet, calm spot where she can relax and feel secure.
Bess has longer hair and will need regular grooming. She arrived severely matted and in desperate need of care, but her groomer said she was a very good girl through it all.
She was a wonderful mom to her puppies and even helped co-parent with Alma, another foster. After everything Bess has been through, she is ready for a soft place to land and a family who will love her forever Fill out an adoption application if you would like her to join your family.
