Life has changed a lot for Lucky recently. After spending years with his elderly family, he suddenly found himself navigating shelters, planes, buses, and a parade of unfamiliar faces. It's been a confusing journey for such a little guy, so it's no surprise that he can be a bit fearful when meeting new people. But give him a little patience, kindness, and understanding, and you'll quickly discover the sweetest cuddlebug imaginable.
Once Lucky decides you're his person, he's all in. He wants to be close to you, snuggled in your lap, following you around the house, and soaking up every bit of love you have to give. In fact, making the bed might become a little more difficult—because Lucky has decided that cozy blankets are meant for cuddling, not straightening!
Because he's so tiny and can feel vulnerable, Lucky would do best in a calm home without young children. If he becomes frightened, he may give a quick warning nip, but it's simply his way of saying he's scared, not aggressive. With a gentle approach and a little time to settle in, his loving personality shines through.
Lucky enjoys the company of other calm, respectful dogs, especially those closer to his size or with laid-back temperaments. Cats don't bother him one bit—in fact, his foster home's cat is twice his size! He was even curious about the chickens, though they looked a bit bigger than he did, too.
Lucky is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for his forever home.
