Roman is a 7 yr old Doodle I adopted from a California nonprofit rescue as a puppy. Roman has the personality of a cat—introverted, independent, sassy, spunky, and silly. He loves humans, enjoys naps, and has the funniest sound effects to communicate. He's trained, relatively low-maintenance, and has lots of travel experience. Having to rehome Roman is difficult but Roman has some resource-guarding behaviors that can become more pronounced when he is stressed and as I am pregnant, I cannot confidently say he is safe around young children. This is not a decision I want to make, but one I feel I need to make for both my baby’s and Roman’s safety. He would do best with adults or older/teenage children who understand and respect his boundaries. He likes other dogs but prefers his own space and finds grooming and vet visits scary (but as needed meds help!). My greatest hope is to find Roman a loving home where he will be safe, understood, and deeply loved.

Teddy is a very sweet boy. I had him since he was less than 1 year old. He’s good and sweet and house trained. He just lack behavioral training- esp since Covid. He was not around many people and when he acted out, we did not properly addressed and trained him. How he can be a little snappy. But overall he’s very sweet and smart. He is very food driven. Can show some signs of resource guarding such as food and toys. We have a toddler and a newborn and cannot handle the stress of baby getting in his face and risk an accident.

Her past didn’t give her the opportunity to simply be a puppy, and she is now learning—at her own pace—how wonderful life can be. Flora is a very shy and sensitive girl, but she is making progress every day. She is slowly learning to let her guard down, carry toys around, and even have a little fun! She has started playing short games of chase with her foster sibling in the yard, and watching her tail wag as she gains confidence has been incredibly rewarding. 🥰 She is still nervous around people, especially when they stand up or move toward her. She may freeze or tense up when she feels unsure, so she needs a family who understands that trust takes time. She isn’t going to run into your arms on day one—and that’s okay! Her family will need to give her the time and space she needs to feel safe. Flora is doing well with potty training and knows that her business belongs outside. Coming back into the house after potty breaks and exploring the yard can still be a challenge, but she is learning. With patience and a few extra minutes to decompress, she is becoming more comfortable with the routine. Her leash skills are also a work in progress. She does best walking on a harness and has made great strides from where she started. Having another confident dog around has helped her tremendously, and we believe a friendly canine companion in her forever home could help Flora continue to blossom. A secure, fenced-in yard would be ideal for her. Flora is also wonderfully tolerant when it comes to grooming and handling. She allows her foster family to bathe her, brush her, and trim her nails. She simply needs people who will respect her boundaries and allow her to build trust rather than expecting her to immediately become a cuddly lap dog. One of Flora’s cutest quirks? She prefers to eat when the house is quiet. During the day, she may leave her food untouched, but once the lights go out and everyone settles in for the night, she happily munches away. It’s just another reminder that this sweet girl needs to feel safe and secure before she can completely relax. I am a sweet girl, but I must have been used mostly for breeding because I am cautious of new people. I will literally run away from you if you move too quickly and when you do pick me up, I will shake even though I eventually will lean into your touch. It was said that I was about 5 years old when I came into rescue. My teeth were so bad that it was rrally hard to tell. Unfortunately my foster recently noticed that I was coughing and took me back in for a other exam. The vet found a slight heart murmur this time and I am currently on medication for this. I am doing great and my cough has disappeared. I will be on this for the rest of my life. Otherwise I am a very happy and energetic girl. I get along well with all dogs and cats. I would do best with no children as it take me a while just to warm up to adults. I would like an older quieter family with a fenced in yard so I cam go outside to potty and run and play. Doug is a 7-year-old, 13.5 lb Shih Tzu/Poodle mix who is ready to be your new best friend. He came to us as a stray, and he's been a total sweetheart ever since. Doug is blind, but you'd hardly know it. He mapped his foster home within days and is already picking up his "blind dog" leash commands like a pro. He's medium energy, walks nicely on a leash, barks minimally, and is great with people and other dogs. Doug is a cuddle bug. Since he can't see, he likes to know exactly where his human is, so expect a loyal shadow who follows you from room to room. His favorite things are snuggling, belly rubs, food, and the squeakiest toy in the house, which he loves to roll around with after meals. • Housetraining: Almost there! He tells his foster when he needs to go out during the day and wears a belly band at night. • Health: Neutered, dental done, inguinal hernia repaired, and eye removal (enucleation). He has a Grade II/VI heart murmur, but no meds or special diet are needed. • Home needs: A fenced yard would be great but isn't required. He can handle 1 step or a few stairs, but please carry him on larger flights. • Ideal home: Semi-active, with a human who's around a lot and maybe a doggy friend.

Meet Baxter! 🐾 Baxter is a 13-14 year old Schnauzer-poodle mix, about 15lbs of pure sweetness once you earn his trust. When he first arrived, he was anxious and unsure — but with a little patience, he blossomed into the biggest lap dog you'll ever meet. Give him time to warm up, and he'll want to be on your lap 24/7, following you around like your own personal shadow. Baxter's happy dance is unforgettable: his lip scrunches up into the goofiest, gummiest smile, especially when he's doing his post-alone-time zoomies. He's loyal, loving, and endlessly grateful once he knows he's safe. The fine print: Baxter must be adopted alongside his brother Sammy — the two are bonded, and while Baxter can get a little protective (and stressed) over him, they're a package deal. He does best with someone home who can give him the time and patience to adjust; the vet says it's worth every minute. The basics: • Fully housebroken, great on a leash, handles stairs with no problem • Minimal barking, medium energy, doesn't mind being picked up or handled • Great with dogs and kids of all ages (he was especially smitten with a baby!) • Occasionally takes gabapentin and trazodone as needed for anxiety and better sleep • Recently had a dental cleaning and echocardiogram — health is in good shape for his age • Loves: Sammy, lap time, chicken, and pup cups with extra whip cream • Dislikes: being alone and vet visits Baxter came to us as an owner surrender through a shelter, carrying some dental issues and a lot of worry with him.
