We no longer have a lot of time to dedicate to her and it is wearing on her. We are looking for someone with experience with dogs who has a lot of time to dedicate to being with her. You will be greatly rewarded. Also, someone who is home more than we are whether because of work from home or retired from work.

Suns out, tongue’s out! Who says you need teeth to have fun? Certainly not this girl! Yara is a 5-year-old cockapoo, a former mill mama with magical abilities to capture the hearts of all who see her. She arrived at Wellie’s Wish in desperate need of dental work. Unfortunately, most of her teeth could not be saved and had to be extracted. But what she lacks in teeth, she makes up for in sweetness and spunk, and a tongue perpetually hanging out! Yara is still learning how to be a real dog, so she loves having other dogs around to show her the ropes! She loves to be outside as much as possible, and is doing very well with house training! Yara loves her people and would like to be cuddled constantly, please and thank you. And look at the face - who could resist cuddling her? But constant cuddles will require she is in a home where she will not be alone too much. Yara is good with cats and kids. She is very skittish and easily startled so she would do best in a quiet home with a family who will give her the patience, love and affection she deserves! Please note: her lack of teeth means she will need to be on a soft foods diet from now on. Potential adopters must be able to provide this. Also, she had to be shaved when she arrived. Kleenex had a very difficult life before coming to us, being used as a breeder dog his entire life. He is shut down at this time but is slowly starting to give us his trust. We are confident he will make a wonderful family member for a very lucky family, who understands his past and gives him the time he needs to trust them and his new surroundings. Kleenex loves other animals, and will thrive in a home with at least one other dog. Adopting a puppy mill survivor is life-changing—for you and them. For these dogs, everything is new and often overwhelming: people, houses, stairs, leashes, food bowls, collars, toys, TVs, ovens, doorways, pavement…the list goes on.
