Hello all, Let me introduce myself. I am Ruby, and believe me, I am a gem, just like my name. I lived with my person for 9 years, but he had to leave the country, and sadly, I was not able to go along with him. Big Dog Ranch welcomed me, and I am seeking someone to spend the rest of my life with. I am very smart, deeply devoted to my person of choice, and I can be rather bossy too. They say I need someone who will be loving but firm! One of my biggest pleasures in life is to play with my squeaky balls, and I have so much fun with sweet children who like to play with me. If you pick up a ball, be ready to play!! They say I am now a Senior, but if you ask me, I do not look my age at all. I may need a little brushing up on my potty training, but I was a good girl in my previous home, and I just need to get back in a routine again. I am a very eager walker and adore my car rides. I am sure you will find me to be a wonderful friend. Come take me on a car ride home!

Story
Meet Ben! Ben is a 9-10 year old Cocker Spaniel/Poodle mix. Such a good boy! He came into rescue when his family could no longer care for him, and it was clear that he had been neglected for a while. He is now thriving in his foster home and has turned into a really happy boy. Ben came in to us at 42.7 pounds and is now down to 35 pounds and has another 8-9 pounds to lose. He is generally low maintenance/low energy. Housebroken (is used to a doggie door). Good with other dogs and kids. Sweet and calm. Rarely barks. Already fixed and we have brought him up to date on vaccines and testing and done a full dental. Ben does have some minor medical issues, some acute, some chronic: Partial hearing loss, hypothyroidism (which requires daily medication costing approximately $5/month), and some bronchial issues.
