Mayor is fixed up and starting to live his best life!! This little guy was found as a stray in rough shape. He was brought into our veterinarian by his finder. Our vet scanned him for a chip and was able to find some information on a potential owner but could never get in contact so he was relinquished into our care so he can find a new home. Mayor is an absolutely precious 9 year old poodle mix. He weighs about 15lbs. When he arrived his coat was in dyer need of grooming his ears were full of bacteria and his front teeth were so loose they were practically falling out. Mayor has gotten all cleaned up a good dental cleaning and extractions and had his ears cleaned thoroughly under sedation and he is feeling so much better!

Meet Maya (a.k.a. your future shadow… everywhere 😄) Maya is a ~5-year-old doodle with a heart as soft as her curls. She’s incredibly sweet, loving, and loyal—the kind of dog who bonds deeply with her person and wants to be by your side at all times. And yes… that includes the bathroom. Privacy? Maya doesn’t believe in it. She’s happiest simply being near you, whether you’re relaxing on the couch or going about your day. Her calm, gentle presence makes her an easy companion to love. Maya already has wonderful house manners. She knows how to sit, is crate trained, and is fully housebroken. She’s curious about cats and would likely do best with slow, supervised introductions as she continues to figure them out. In the spirit of full transparency, Maya does have a little mischievous streak. She may sneak into the trash if given the chance, so keeping things picked up or using a covered can will help set her up for success. Maya is currently heartworm positive, but she’s on a slow-kill treatment plan and doing well. The rescue will continue to cover her medication—she just needs a committed adopter to keep her on track. And don’t let her gentle nature fool you—this girl has some surprising skills. Maya can clear a 4-foot fence, so a secure, fenced yard is a must to keep her safe. Maya would thrive in a home where she can stay close to her people and feel safe, loved, and included in daily life. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will stick by your side through everything (yes, everything), Maya is ready to meet you.
