It's Bailey checking in...I have been working on my puppy skills and am ready for a new home. I am crate trained and potty trained, but need a home with an adoptive family that can keep working on my skills. My first home did not know how to care for me. They expected me to know things and react to situations not as a puppy, but as a trained dog. They frightened me and did not know how important it was for me to be able to trust them. I am also quite active and that was not what they wanted in a dog. A yard to run around in would be a dream home or people who will take me for walks and want to play. I just want a home with people who will love me, make me feel secure, and help me to be a great canine citizen. Love, Bailey. MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hello, my name is Bailey. My owner was moving and could not take me with her so she asked CSAC to help find me a new home. The best home for me has people who have puppy and training experience who can help with my training. I am house trained and crate trained, but I need help with my manners. I like to table surf, drink from the toilet and jump on people. Someone needs to teach me "drop and trade" when I pick up something I shouldn't have. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet again. Hope to see you soon. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen. Story
DOB 12-28-2024 Fuzzy, happy and sweet. This gorgeous little girl is ready for her home and family. Up to date on shots and medical for her age. Colette is social, loves to play and gets along with everyone. Adoption fee is 650.00, transport fee is 165.00. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
