ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is Tracy, and I just arrived at CSAC. I was rescued from a puppy mill. I am scared because I have not been around a lot of people or lived in a home as a pet. I have spent my life in a barn, a shed or a cage. The CSAC volunteer says that I am very shy, but I was loving all of the TLC that everyone was giving me, and I should be a good lap dog. The groomer says that I love to be held. The best home for me has people who have dog experience who can help with my training and acclimating to the outside world. The people in my new home should be able to teach me the skills I need to be a great pet: walking on a lead, house training, and socializing. I will need time to trust people who want what is best for me and are not going to hurt me. That is something I have not experienced so far in my life. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will help me to understand that I am a cherished family pet, not just an animal to be used to make money. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen. Story
🐶 Looking for a Loving Home for Jake❤️ This is one of the hardest decisions I've had to make, but I'm looking to rehome my sweet boy, Jake, to a loving family. Jake is a young, friendly dog who loves people and does well with children. He's playful, affectionate, and has so much love to give. My hope is to find someone who has the time, attention, and space to give him the life he deserves. This decision was not made lightly, so I will be selective about where he goes. I want to make sure he's placed in a safe, responsible, and loving home. If you or someone you know is interested in giving Jake a forever home, please send me a private message. Serious inquiries only, please. Please share this post to help Jake find the perfect family. Thank you. ❤️🐾

Story
Jake is a lovable young dog born on April 20, 2025, who is looking for a new forever home. He is playful, friendly, and full of energy, with a sweet personality that makes him a wonderful companion. Jake is great with children and enjoys being around people. As a young dog, he is still learning and would benefit from continued training, consistency, and plenty of exercise. He would thrive with an individual or family ready to give him the time, love, and attention he deserves. Jake is a loyal, affectionate pup who is ready to become a cherished member of his new family.

Story
Simba is a small adult dog with a sweet and loyal personality once he feels comfortable. He loves being around his person and enjoys a calm, structured environment. Simba is crate trained and does well with routine. He can be anxious in new situations and around unfamiliar people, which may cause him to bark or become defensive. He will likely bark quite a bit during the first few days as he adjusts to a new environment. Because of this, Simba would do best in a home with an experienced dog owner who understands how to give him time and space to adjust. He would do best in a home without small children. Simba would do best in a house rather than an apartment, as he can be vocal at times. A home without carpet is preferred. Simba has so much love to give and forms a strong bond with his owner. With patience, consistency, and the right environment, he can be a very loyal and rewarding companion. We are looking for a home that can provide him with stability.

I have been in a foster home, and I am ready for my new home! I have been working on my commands and learning my adult dog skills, but I am still all puppy. Watch my videos linked below. My leg has healed, and you can see it does not slow me down. As I get older, I may need some arthritis medication, but the more exercise I get now, the better it will be when I am older. I need a yard to run around, long walks, playtime, and help continuing my transition from puppy to adult dog. I prefer hard to chew toys (the soft ones are not a challenge) and a good lap to cuddle into at night. You know you want to be my cuddle buddy! Please apply for me today. 06/13/2026 - Videos: Leo loves to run and play. Leo loves to play with his toy. MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hello, my name is Leo. My owner started have an allergic reaction to me so she asked CSAC to help find me a new home. The best home for me has people who have puppy experience who can help continue my training. I am sweet, very playful. I enjoy cuddling, playing with toys and being around people. I am house trained and crate trained. I even know some commands like sit, stay and outside. I do have a limp when I walk. I broke my back leg and it did not heal correctly. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet again. Hope to see you soon. My name is Freckles, and I just arrived at CSAC. I was rescued from a puppy mill. I have spent my life in a barn, a shed or a cage. The CSAC volunteer says that I am very sweet, calm and should come out of my shell quickly. CSAC was told that I am blind in one eye, but the veterinarian says that I am blind in both eyes. No one can tell the difference. I get along just fine. I do have a grade 4 of 6 heart murmur.
