Story
Location-Wayside Waifs Campus My Friends at Wayside say: -I am from a puppy mill situation. I will likely need extra time to adjust to home life. I have lived with other dogs but have not socialized with people. Things like walking on a leash and going through doorways can be challenging for me. Adopting me will be extremely rewarding, but I need time to learn. -I’m a shy dog and need someone willing to be patient with me.My home needs are: -I am more confident when a have a dog friend with me. Wayside recommends meeting resident dogs to make sure we can be buddies.-I have to meet you with another dog present. Wayside recommends that it be the resident dog in the home.-If you have kids in the home 9 years old and younger, I will need to meet them since I can be nervous around new people and loud noises. -I am more confident when I have another dog around. I must go to a home that has a social resident dog already.-For my safety, I need to go home on an anti-slip collar called a martingale collar. For your convenience, we sell them in our retail store, Whiskers and Wags.Hi, I am Paisley,I am the sweetest 7 year old you will ever meet. I am a great size at 21 pounds. I am a sweet, shy girl who is just learning about life `on the outside`. I can be fearful of new things and new experiences. I want to be near people and I love other dogs. I will need a patient adopter who can help me learn about the world. With a little time and patience, I`m sure to make a lovely friend!I have made a lot of progress on walking on a leash. Some of my friends helped me learn to do it and we now go for walks. I love to go on long, sniffy walks. Are you looking a walking buddy? I would love to walk with you. Here at the shelter, I really like other dogs! I like to follow them around and cuddle. I love to chase them around the yard. I would do well with other calmer, social dogs. What do you think? Am I the girl for you? I would love to meet you. Will you stop by soon?Love, Paisley

Story
Hi, I'm Frida! Here are some of my stats: Age: 7 years young Breed: Mixed –Chihuahua, Cocker Spaniel, Poodle and about 21 other things. Sign: Capricorn Occupation: Personal Trainer <3: Looking for a relationship About Me: I’m a girl who loves to be active. Walking, running, fetching, taking rides in the car. But when the sun goes down, I’m all about the cuddle time. (Bring on the belly rubs!) My loves: trails, tennis balls, soft blankets, stinky treats, nights in with the one I love. It’s been said I’m a diva when it comes to smaller animals. I may have a jealous streak, but that’s just because my love is so true. Seeking a soulmate with children over 12yo—I’m not the maternal type. I’m still a puppy at heart! I’m just a dog, standing in front of a human, asking if you’re going to eat the rest of that sandwich. I am good with dogs larger than me, so don't worry, I can make doggie friends. Let’s meet up! Frida will come fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $125. All dogs in the home need to be larger than her and she would do best with no young children. Apply to adopt Frida today at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUCK/Dog or at www.lucky13rescue.org.
