Story
Meet Pardi! She's a cute little black/white cocker spaniel mix, around 5 years old. She likes meeting other friendly dogs and loves playing with toys. Pardi keeps her kennel clean, which is a good sign that she might be housetrained or can easily be housetrained. She's spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. In other words, she's ready to find herself a forever home! You can see Pardi's glow up in the pictures. She looked a little bit rough when she arrived at City of Raytown Animal Services, where she's staying now. She'll have a gorgeous, silky coat soon enough. Pardi, like all cocker spaniels, will need regular professional grooming. If you'd like to meet this adorable girl, call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387. Pardi is in the Kansas City metro.

Story
Pet Location: Ward is currently living in a foster home. If you’d like to schedule a time to meet him, please contact Wayside Adoptions at (816)986-4426.My friends at Wayside say:-I am from a puppy mill. I will likely need extra time to adjust to home life. I have lived with other dogs but have not socialized with people until recently. Adopting me will be extremely rewarding, but I need time to learn. -I’m mostly housebroken in my foster home, as long as I’m kept on a schedule and I get out often.-I love other small or medium sized dogs, and I get along well with the small dog I live with in my foster home.-It takes me extra time to warm up to new people, so please take things slowly with me.My home needs are:-I gain confidence from other dogs, and I must go to a home with another friendly dog.-For my safety, I need to go home on an anti-slip collar called a martingale collar. For your convenience, we sell them in our retail store, Whiskers and Wags.Hi there, I’m Ward! I’m such a good boy! I’m lively and endearing and super smart. And, while I enjoy a little exercise and play each day, I’m also perfectly happy to sit by your side or in your lap as I bask in the comfort and contentment of human connection that I’ve just recently discovered. I’m a remarkable little fella…brave, forgiving, and eager to forget my sad past while embracing my bright future. I hope that maybe you’re looking for a dog just like me to share your life with. I’m ready! Ready to be your dog.I’m a darling, 14-year-old, 8-pound Miniature Poodle mix, with soft fur that will need regular grooming, the cutest, sweetest little face, and a happy, delightful personality. I hope you won’t pass me by because of my age! I am spry and active, and I have so much living and loving that I still want to do. I’m already mostly housebroken, as long as I get out on a consistent schedule, but please stay patient with me when I have an occasional accident. Living in a home is all new to me, so I’m still figuring things out. You see, I was recently rescued from an awful life full of loneliness and neglect in a puppy mill. There were so many dogs, but few people to care for us. Arriving safely at Wayside was such a relief, yet still terrifying and confusing. I had just been through so much, yet the best change of all happened when I was chosen to live in a loving foster home. Oh, it was scary, especially those first few days, but I’m an adaptable guy
