Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Mavis is a beautiful little Cockapoo in search of her forever family. Mavis came to us from a very unfortunate breeding situation. She has been working hard to build confidence and learn to trust but it has been a slow process. Mavis' ears were completely swollen shut from years of infection that was never tended to. The infection has been treated but her ears are still a bit swollen and will likely remain that way. She has been started on a medicated ear flush that we use 2-3 times a week to keep infection at bay. Mavis is working hard on her housetraining and doing pretty well. She loves the other dogs in her foster home and gets along well with everyone.   ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Physically fenced in yard to keep her safe - no invisible fences.  Confident resident dog to help show Mavis the ropes and teach her what being a dog is all about.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped. Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly. November 12, 2025, 9:16 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Annie is a gorgeous little cocker spaniel in search of her forever family. Unfortunately, she has pretty significant vision and hearing impairments due to birth defects. However, she does not allow these impairments to hold her back - she is a very happy girl and loves nothing more than to snuggle up on the couch with her foster humans. Annie is working hard on her house and crate training and is making good progress. She adores the other dogs in her foster home.   ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Physically fenced in yard to keep her safe - no invisible fences. Open concept home with minimal stairs would be ideal for Annie. A confident resident dog to help guide Annie would be best. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Paris is a darling Mini Poodle in search of her forever family. Paris will need a patient family willing to give her time to adjust and warm up.   ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Physically fenced in yard to keep her safe - no invisible fences. Paris would do best in a home with a resident dog to help show her the ropes and boost her confidence.
