Story
Hello my potential family. I am 25 lbs of pure LOVE. I enjoy going on short strolls and sniffing. Whether it is a car ride, going for a walk. I just love to be part of the mix. Give me a little time to warm up to you and the reward will melt your heart. I love being scratched under my chin or on my lower back, that really makes my tail nub go. I am the happiest little girl in the world. I do not mind other dogs, big or small, I have not met any cats, but I do not think they would be any problem either. I am a soft spoken, sweet, quiet soul and do not like a lot of noise or activity. When it gets loud and busy, I will go find a quiet place. I do have Glaucoma in my left eye, and need drops twice a day, but I am very good at taking them. I know where I am supposed to go to the restroom and will let you know if I need to go out. I look forward to meeting you.Fill out an adoption application directly on our website at www.lionelslegacy.org

Story
After Pinky was surrendered to Downey Shelter by her owner for reasons unknown, we scooped her up to become a Frosted Face on March 9th. She is 14 years old, weighs 16 lbs., and is very sweet. Pinky went on a 5-day Frosted Field Trip, so we could learn more about her in a home environment while she received lots of TLC. Her foster mom shared this great report: "If you want a sweet girl with a gentle soul and so much love to give, Pinky is your kind of dog! She is curious, gets around surprisingly well despite having limited vision and hearing, and will let you know where she is if she needs a little help. She truly loves being held and snuggled in a warm lap. Pinky walks nicely on a leash (see video), does great with both dogs and cats, and is potty-trained. She eats well. Our routine was to go on a walk through the neighborhood or park in the morning and another walk later around dinnertime. She liked to sleep in bed with us and be really close. It took her a little while to fall asleep, but when she did, she slept for a good eight hours. Pinky deserves someone to promise she will be safe and loved for the rest of her life."
