Story
We received a call to pick up a puppy from a breeder that had a cherry eye and upon arrival we were asked if we would take in Miley. They said they had just sold her last puppy and they were retiring her from breeding. So on 12/16/25 Miley finally got to take her freedom walk out of the life of breeding for profit. As you see in her picture she has been shaved down. She came tobus this way. She is very quiet and was a bit timid yesterday. She didn't even know to lay on her soft bed. Once we put her on it she fell right asleep. Today 12/17/25 she walk out of her kennel space to the adoption area and spent some time with me and the cocker puppy that came in with her. She bounced around and relaxed a bit. I believe she will settle in just fine. We are giving her a few days or even possibly after Christmas before we drag her to the vet to be spayed. Miley is a beautiful chocolate merle color and she does have 2 different color eyes. Miley has a birth date of 5/11/19. If tou are interested in her adoption please text or email us to request an application.

Story
SPARKY-PENDING ADOPTION Sparky is an approximately 4-year-old male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with a heart as big as his personality. This petite little guy weighs about 12 pounds and has been working hard in foster care to gain weight—he’d do great with another pound or two to round him out. True to his name, Sparky is a social butterfly! He loves meeting new people and fully expects pets and attention from every new friend he encounters. He thrives on love, affection, and companionship, making him a wonderful match for someone looking for a sweet, cuddly, devoted companion. Sparky does well with other dogs who are respectful and polite playmates, but he doesn’t require another dog in the home to be happy. He hasn’t been tested with cats, but based on his easygoing nature, he would likely do just fine. He walks nicely on leash, so a fenced yard is not a requirement—though he would certainly enjoy having a safe space to explore if one is available. Sparky is a retired breeder dog who is more than ready to leave that chapter behind and become a cherished family member. He is currently sleeping in a crate at night and does settle in, though he may voice a few mild complaints at bedtime. Given the choice, he would absolutely love a guardian who welcomes him into the bed for nighttime snuggles. He is working hard on potty training and is doing well overall. Since he was recently neutered, he may do best with a belly band for the first few days in his new home as he continues to adjust and reinforce good habits. He is fully vetted: Up to date on vaccines Neutered Microchipped Dental completed Negative fecal and heartworm tests On heartworm preventative Like many Cavaliers, Sparky has a grade 3 heart murmur. He is currently symptom-free and takes a daily medication to support his heart, which costs approximately $30 per month. His murmur will need routine monitoring, but it is not impacting his quality of life, and we fully expect Sparky to enjoy many more happy, healthy years filled with love. 📍 Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana 💲 Adoption Fee: $400 If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate Cavalier who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Sparky may be your perfect match. 💙 Apply at https://www.heartlandcavalierconnection.org/adoptionapplication

Story
CHLOE- This sweet Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was born May 16, 2021 and is a retired breeder who is just beginning to discover how wonderful life as a beloved companion can be.  Although she had very little socialization in her past, she has made remarkable progress in just two weeks in foster care! She came into rescue scared and very dirty, but is now blossoming beautifully as she learns to trust and enjoy gentle human affection. She weighs approximately 20 lbs and is: • Spayed  • Up to date on vaccinations  -Dental completed • Microchipped  • Negative for heartworm & fecal tests  • On heartworm preventative  • Healthy bloodwork -Currently being treated for ear infections •  AKC registered She is doing wonderfully with routine — sleeping through the night in her crate and catching on to potty training very quickly.  She absolutely adores other dogs, both big and small, and takes great comfort in their presence. She will require a friendly canine companion in her forever home and may happily follow them around like a little shadow.  Because she is still fearful in general, she will do best in a calm, patient home without young children. A secure fenced yard is required, as she is still unsure about leash walking. As is common in the breed, she has a low-grade heart murmur (grade 1–2). It is not causing any symptoms and does not require medication at this time. With continued love, patience, and consistency, this gentle girl has so much potential to become a devoted companion. She will be ready for her forever family very soon. Adoption Fee: $400, Located in Fort Wayne, Indiana If you’re looking to open your heart and home to a sweet Cavalier who is learning how to feel safe and loved, she may be the perfect match.
