Story
We received a call to pick up a puppy from a breeder that had a cherry eye and upon arrival we were asked if we would take in Miley. They said they had just sold her last puppy and they were retiring her from breeding. So on 12/16/25 Miley finally got to take her freedom walk out of the life of breeding for profit. Miley has been with us in rescue since 12/16/25. She is doing very well with coming out of her shell. She has been fully vetted and is ready for the start of a new lifw where she will be loved in a home. She is still timid with strangers and will need a quiet home with a fenced yard to keep her safe as she is not leash trained. Her yard must be dog safe, which means no electric/invisible fencing and secure where she cant get out of it. Miley is a small girl at just 19 pounds. Miley is a beautiful chocolate merle color and she does have 2 different color eyes. Miley has a birth date of 5/11/19. As far as being house trained goes, Miley has never lived in a home. She has been in our adoption center for over a month now and has not once had an accident. She faithfully uses her doggy door to go outside to potty. We believe she will settle in to her new home great woth some time and patience. Miley does well with other respectful dogs. She does not like dogs to come at her in a dominant way or try to play with her unless she has gotten use to them. An older fur sibling her size would be best for her. No puppies or active large dogs. We know this is asking alot in a home, however we ALWAYS want to place our rescues in the best fit for them and their adopter. If you are interested in her adoption please text or email us to request an application.

Story
SIR ARTHUR-PENDING ADOPTION 5-year-old, 19lb, Ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Sir Arthur is a retired commercial breeder who is just beginning to discover the comforts of indoor life-kind humans, cozy couches, and respectful canine companions. He needs a few days to adjust to new surroundings, but once he feels safe, he becomes affectionate and eager for attention . Toys and dog beds are still new to him, but he loves curling up next to his people on the couch. Sir Arthur is very food motivated , which makes him a great candidate for gentle, positive-reinforcement training as he continues to learn life skills. At night, he sleeps through the night in a crate after a minute or two of mild protest , though we suspect he’d happily take on the role of full-time bed warmer in his forever home. Sir Arthur is looking for a patient, understanding home that will give him time to adjust and continue learning. He’s making great progress with potty training but isn’t quite 100% yet, so a secure fenced yard or potty run is required. Leash walking and confidence with doorways will come with time (it’s cold in Fort Wayne right now! ). He gets along well with his foster siblings (a Cavalier and a pittie ) and would enjoy gentle playmates or another dog his size. He hasn’t been tested with cats but would likely do fine. Respectful teenagers would be welcome in his home too. Health-wise, Sir Arthur is doing great :UTD on vaccines ✅, heartworm negative ❤️, on prevention, microchipped 📍, neutered ✂️, recently had a dental (only lost one small tooth 😁), and best of all—no heart murmur! 🎉 If you’re looking for a gentle, dignified Cavalier who will blossom with patience, love, and a few well-timed cookies , Sir Arthur may be your perfect match! Story
MURPHY – A Sweet Senior Cavalier Ready for His Forever Home Murphy is a 9-year-old neutered male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is ready to leave his breeder days behind and enjoy a life of comfort, love, and companionship. This handsome tricolor gentleman embodies everything people love about senior Cavaliers—calm, affectionate, and endlessly sweet. Murphy is gentle, easy-going, and happy. He thrives on human attention and prefers affection and companionship over toys. He is content with a quiet routine and enjoys being close to his people. Murphy at a Glance: • Sleeps through the night in a crate and would likely do well without one • Doing well with potty training • Calm, cuddly, and well-mannered in the home • Good with respectful, calm children • Does well with calm or older dogs • Likely to do well with cats • Not yet reliable on leash; a securely fenced yard is required • Low physical demands and well suited for a relaxed lifestyle Health and Veterinary Care: Murphy is fully vetted and in good health for his age. • Up to date on vaccinations • Heartworm negative and on monthly preventative • Microchipped • Neutered • Dental recently completed • Grade 2–3 heart murmur with no heart enlargement and no medication required; monitoring only • Mild arthritis managed with a daily glucosamine supplement Murphy is looking for a caring, patient home where he can enjoy his retirement years surrounded by love, comfort, and companionship. He would do best with someone who appreciates the quiet joy and devotion of a senior dog.
