Story
Meet Sugar, the sweet senior canine queen, longing for companionship and a loving place to finish her years! This gentle and affectionate lady is your perfect cuddle buddy, always ready to settle in for a cozy movie night or a quiet afternoon on the couch, yet still spry enough for a short morning walk. Sugar’s friendly demeanor makes her a joy to be around, and she’s sure to bring a smile to your face with her loving nature. She's friendly with other dogs and potty trained too! Ready to give this lovely lady the retirement she deserves?
Sugar's story... Her owner took very good care of her and sadly passed away. She was on her way to the shelter when no one in the family could take her in. No place for a sweet senior lady to be, so she was taken into the rescue.

If you want to meet a pup in person, Once Upon a Tail Rescue does adoption events at PetSmart in Covington, LA on most Saturdays with 15-20 of our adoptable dogs and puppies there.
Don't forget to complete your application ahead of time, so you don't miss out on the pup you've connected with. If pre-approved, you have first priority and can usually take home your new best friend the same day!
*Please note that there is no obligation to adopt by completing an application.*
**All dogs are required to have complete vet services, including shots, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip, which are included in the Adoption Fee. Some dogs may still require completion of these services due to current age, size, breed and/or health. All vet services must be done at the vet clinic used by Once Upon a Tail Rescue in Mandeville, LA.
