Story
Hi my name is Lilly and I am looking for a gentle, patient home to call my own. My whole life I thought the world was just my kennel. Then one day I was scooped up and taken where I found out that the world is SO BIG! Everyone and everything is new to me and I am learning every minute of every day. I met some humans that actually say nice things to me in nice voices. I really have no idea what they are saying but I’m starting to pay attention a bit since the other dog and cat here seem to like them. I am quiet and gentle so I get along with the resident animals but I don’t know how to play yet so high energy friends are not for me. I like to hang out on the nice soft dog bed and just take it all in. There is so much to see and hear it can be very overwhelming! The other dog here goes out with the humans on a leash every day but I don’t go just yet. I think there is even more world out there but I’m still trying to get used to the house and yard and leash and snow and …there is a lot. I am a good girl in my crate, I don’t mess in the house and I’m not destructive. I’m told that there is someone out there who will give me time, and love while I figure it all out. So If you are my person I am here learning about the world while I’m waiting for you. **CALM AND QUIET are key.-rural FULLY-FENCED residential would be her best household*Located in Penetanguishene

Story
***APPLICATIONS CLOSED***Hi there, my name is Dolly and I am a four-year-old cocker spaniel girl. Up until now my life kind of sucked being a working mom doing 9 to 5 as a puppy mill breeding dog. I was super happy to retire from there and go hang out at this new house with lots of kids, a dog and two big people who won me over by feeding me rotisserie chicken! After some much needed TLC and a really nice grooming session, I look like a million bucks and my feet feel like brand new. I sleep on the main floor in my kennel at night just fine as there's a big comfy blanket in there that keeps me happy. I have been good about not pooping or peeing in the house and go down into the backyard to do my business every 4 to 6 hours. My foster house has three kids in it that I really like as long as they aren't running around like crazy people screaming. I let everybody pet me and I'm happy to take rotisserie chicken from anybody who offers it. I like the other dog in my house and I like to follow him around the backyard. I eat a cup of dry food twice a day and, so far, I've been living the good life ever since I got here. I would do best in a house with another like-minded dog who enjoys a comfy couch and a person to lay beside that would scratch my head and ears. I do pretty good on leash even though I have never been on one until about a week ago. So, I do need a little bit of work there, but I don't bark and I don't whine. My foster house has never heard me make a peep other than to lightly growl at my foster brother when he tries to take too much of my mom's time and lap space, but it was all talk and I've stopped doing that now and enjoy my foster brother dog. So, if you're looking for a chill, quiet, couch potato for a pet that just wants to snuggle, then I'm your girl!!!! *located in Aurora
