Story
Hi! I am helping rehome my uncle’s dog, Teko, because of my uncle's declining health. Teko is a neutered Cockalier (Cocker Spaniel / Cavalier mix). He is incredibly sweet, high-energy, and very friendly with company.Because of my uncle's health, Teko is not house-trained and needs basic training. He needs an active owner who can give him plenty of exercise and structure. We are asking for a $300 rehoming fee to help cover my uncle’s healthcare costs. He will come with all of his medical records. Does he sound like a good fit for your lifestyle?

Story
Meet Addison!Addison is a 5-year-old buff-colored Cocker Spaniel with a gentle heart and an easygoing personality. After spending her early years as a breeder dog, she`s ready to leave that life behind and discover what it truly means to be a cherished family member. This sweet girl is low energy and happiest when she`s close to her people. She enjoys leisurely walks, relaxing in the cool grass, chewing on her favorite toys, and spending time by your side. While she`ll happily climb into your lap for affection, she`s just as content stretching out on the cool floor nearby, simply enjoying your company.Addison is house trained and crate trained with excellent manners around the home. She has had no accidents indoors, sleeps quietly in her crate at night, and can be crated when needed. She is also wonderful on a leash with no leash or dog reactivity, making walks together a relaxing experience. She gets along well with other dogs, although she prefers peaceful coexistence over active play. Because she is respectful of toys, food, and space, she could happily live with another calm dog or be perfectly content as your one-and-only companion. She is also wonderful with children and is comfortable around both men and women. One of Addison`s most endearing qualities is her calm, quiet nature. She rarely barks, doesn`t try to escape, and settles easily into a routine. She would thrive in a home where at least one adult is home for much of the day, allowing her to enjoy the companionship she has come to love.If you`re looking for a sweet, well-mannered companion who is ready to enjoy the comforts of home after leaving her past behind, Addison is waiting to meet you.To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Meet Clara Bow, a one-of-a-kind puppy with a joyful spirit, an adventurous heart, and endless love to give. Clara is blind and deaf and was born with microphthalmia (underdeveloped eyes) due to her merle genetics. While this is a permanent condition, Clara doesn’t know she’s any different. She experiences the world through touch, smell, vibration, and sunshine, and she approaches life with confidence, curiosity, and pure joy. This special girl loves being connected to those around her. Whether she’s cuddled up next to her favorite person, following a canine friend around the yard, or roughhousing with her dog buddies, Clara thrives on companionship. She forms deep bonds and finds comfort in having friends nearby. Because of this, Clara is looking for a home with at least one friendly resident dog to help her continue building confidence and enjoying all of life’s adventures. Clara is playful, affectionate, and full of personality. She loves chasing the wind, splashing in the garden hose, sniffing out hidden treasures, solving food puzzles, and basking in the warmth of the sun. Watching Clara zoom around the yard with her signature bunny hops is enough to make anyone smile. Like any puppy, Clara is still learning. She is making great progress with potty training and consistently uses potty pads or goes outside. She learns through positive reinforcement, gentle touch cues, consistency, and patience. Once she maps out her surroundings, she navigates them remarkably well and quickly settles into routines. Because Clara experiences the world differently, she is looking for adopters who are ready to embrace her unique needs and help her continue thriving. Previous dog experience is strongly preferred, as Clara’s care and safety require thoughtful management and understanding. What Clara lacks in sight and hearing, she more than makes up for in resilience, happiness, and love. She doesn’t spend a single moment feeling sorry for herself, and neither should you. Clara Bow is living proof that joy isn’t about what you can see or hear. It’s about feeling safe, loved, and free to be yourself. All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise.
