Story
Meet Bruno Puntz Jones!Don’t let Bruno’s age fool you—this handsome 12-year-old Cocker Spaniel mix still has plenty of pep in his step! Weighing in at just 26 pounds, Bruno is the perfect medium-sized companion with a heart full of love and a tennis ball never far from his mind.Bruno Puntz Jones is a happy, gentle boy who absolutely adores people. Whether he’s following you around the house, soaking up belly rubs, asking for ear scratches, or gazing at you with his irresistible puppy-dog eyes, he simply wants to be close to his favorite humans. He’s incredibly affectionate and loves being part of the family. One of his greatest joys in life is playing fetch—and he’s surprisingly good at it! Tell him to 'go get your ball,' and he’ll happily retrieve it and bring it right back for another round. He also knows commands like sit and in your crate, walks beautifully on leash, rides well in the car, and is house trained. He enjoys daily walks, playtime, and lounging with his people.Bruno is very food- and toy-motivated, making him eager to learn. Like many social dogs, he’ll happily remind you when treats are being handed out or if he thinks he deserves a little extra attention. He can be vocal when he’s excited, wants to play, or is hoping for a snack, so a home without shared walls would be ideal. While he’ll settle in his crate after you leave, he may bark or whine for a few minutes first.Bruno Puntz Jones gets along well with other dogs and has never met a stranger. He could thrive as an only dog soaking up all the attention or with another friendly canine companion. As a senior, he has arthritis in his hips and takes a daily pain medication to keep him comfortable. He previously had ear infections and eye irritation, both of which have been successfully treated, though his future family should watch for any recurrence. He also has cataracts and has some hearing and vision loss, which may experience changes over time, but they certainly don't slow him down or dampen his cheerful spirit.Bruno Puntz Jones would love a home with a yard where he can stretch his legs, chase his ball, and spend time with the people he loves most. If you're looking for a sweet, loyal companion who still has plenty of life, love, and fetch left to give, Bruno is ready to be your new best friend.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $100. Meet Emma A Loving Little Frenchie Looking for the Forever Family She Deserves ❤️ Breed: French Bulldog Gender: Female | DOB: August 5, 2023 | Weight/Size: 15 lbs (Small) Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Cats: Unknown | Kids ✔️ Medical: ✔️ Spayed | ✔️ Vaccinations Up to Date | ✔️ Microchipped Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue provides safe transportation to approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality, Breed Information & Emma's Story Emma's life took an unexpected turn when she was surrendered by her previous owner. While losing the home she once knew was a big change, Emma has never stopped believing in people. She has settled beautifully into rescue and is now patiently waiting for the family who will love her for the rest of her life. Emma is a friendly, affectionate little girl with a heart as big as her adorable smile. She loves being close to her people and enjoys all the simple things in life—going for leisurely walks, relaxing beside you on the couch, soaking up belly rubs, and receiving as much love and attention as possible. Her gentle, easygoing personality makes her a wonderful companion for families, couples, or anyone looking for a loyal best friend. Emma has a calm, happy nature and enjoys making new friends wherever she goes. She forms strong bonds with the people she loves and is happiest when she's included in everyday family life. Whether you're spending the afternoon relaxing at home or heading out on a short adventure, Emma will be right by your side with her signature Frenchie charm. As a French Bulldog, Emma has all the wonderful qualities that have made the breed so popular. French Bulldogs are affectionate, adaptable, playful, and incredibly devoted to their families. They thrive on companionship and are happiest when they're included in daily activities. Emma's loving personality makes her the perfect example of everything people adore about the breed. Emma would thrive in a home that offers: Plenty of love and companionship Daily walks and moderate exercise Positive reinforcement training Interactive toys and mental enrichment A consistent daily routine A comfortable indoor home where she's treated as a beloved member of the family A lifetime of love, patience, and commitment Emma has already experienced one goodbye. Now she's looking for a family who will give her the forever home she's always deserved. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Although Emma has previously lived in a home, every rescue dog needs time to adjust to a new environment. New surroundings, routines, and experiences can feel overwhelming at first, but Emma's affectionate personality will help her settle in with patience and consistency. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to learn your household routine 3 Months to fully settle into family life Emma is eager to bond with her new family and will continue to thrive with positive reinforcement and gentle guidance. Her new family should continue providing: Positive reinforcement training Daily walks and interactive play Consistent routines Continued socialization Plenty of love, patience, and reassurance With kindness and stability, Emma will quickly become a devoted companion who simply wants to spend every day by your side. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Adopting Emma is a lifelong commitment that includes providing excellent veterinary care, companionship, and a loving home. As part of responsible pet ownership, Emma will need: Annual veterinary wellness examinations Routine vaccinations as recommended by your veterinarian Monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention A balanced diet to maintain a healthy weight Daily moderate exercise and mental enrichment Continued training and socialization A safe indoor home where she is treated as a cherished member of the family Because French Bulldogs are a brachycephalic (short-nosed) breed, Emma should avoid overheating and strenuous activity during hot weather. Fresh water, shade, and air-conditioned environments will help keep her healthy and comfortable. Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting Emma, please complete an adoption application by visiting: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Thank you for considering adoption through Ozzie and Friends Rescue, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to giving dogs a second chance at a loving home. Emma is ready to put the past behind her and begin the happiest chapter of her life. All she needs is a family to love, a cozy place to call home, and someone who will cherish her forever. ❤️August 5, 2026, 1:59 pm
