Story
Kaya came into our lives from the wide-open landscapes of Colorado, with the spirit of the land in her bones. A two-year-old Australian cattle dog (red heeler), she is energetic, intelligent, and driven—built to move, work, and thrive with purpose. Kaya is also deaf, but it doesn’t hold her back. She is highly attentive, visually aware, and deeply connected to her people. She belongs to our daughter, who is currently in an extended treatment program. While we care for Kaya in the city alongside two other dogs, it’s clear this isn’t the life she was meant for. Her energy and instincts need space to run free. Kaya would flourish on a farm or ranch, where she can work, explore, and be fully herself. We’re not just looking for a home—we’re looking for the right place where she can truly thrive.

Story
Meet Smalls (aka Chuck Norris)Smalls is a 1-year-old cattle dog who’s equal parts fun, loyal, and full of life. This handsome boy has never met a stranger—he truly loves everyone, from adults to kids, and gets along great with other dogs and even cats. He’s both potty trained and crate trained, making him an easy, ready-to-go addition to the right home. Smalls is the perfect balance of active and affectionate—he’s always up for a long walk or adventure, but just as happy curling up next to you for some quality cuddle time.Like any cattle dog, Smalls thrives with activity and would do best with an active family. A fenced-in yard would be ideal for him to safely run, play, and burn off that energy. And fair warning—this boy has something to say! Smalls is a “talker” who will happily chat with you, especially when you get home, making sure you feel extra loved. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who will keep you moving and make you smile every single day—Smalls is your guy.If interested in adopting please go to the website or go to the adoption process section and click on the adoption link to submit your adoption application.

Story
Bella 🐾 Meet Bella! 🐾 Bella is a 5–6 month old pup with a heart full of love and a personality that’s equal parts playful and cuddly. 💕 ✨ Fun Facts About Bella: 1. Potty trained — no accidents since day one! 🚽👏 2. The biggest cuddle bug 🛋️ 3. Loves car rides (as long as she can touch you) 🚗❤️ 4. Super playful, floppy, and full of puppy energy 🎾 5. Smart girl who already knows “sit” 🐾 Bella’s favorite things? Sunbathing after potty breaks 🌞, flopping down leash and all, and “talking” at her reflection with the cutest little howl-growl combo. 🐶 She’s had a tough start to life and can be timid with men and kids, but she is never aggressive. She does great hanging out in a bathroom with her bed and toys, but a crate makes her very anxious. She’s working hard on puppy manners like “sit before pets” and “sit before food,” and she takes direction well. Bella is both a couch potato and a playmate — she loves walks, playtime, and then snuggling close. She just wants to be loved, reassured, and never left behind again. 💙 🏡 Ideal Home: Bella would thrive in a home where she can be the center of attention and get plenty of affection, exercise, and continued training. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’ll make you laugh, keep you company, and love you endlessly, Bella is your girl. 🥰 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.cognitoforms.com/DixieGirl1/PetAdoptionApplicationForm2 Most of our are pets are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel.
