Story
Meet Balton — a gentle, 2-year-old Collie mix with a heart full of love just waiting to be discovered. Found stray in the Central Valley, Balton came to us a little unsure of the world, but every day he’s blooming into the sweet, affectionate dog he was meant to be. Balton is timid with new people at first, but once he feels safe, his big, tender heart shines through. He forms deep bonds and loves quietly and completely — a true loyal companion in the making. He’s wonderful with other dogs, and during a recent sleepover he did amazingly well with cats, too! This boy has a calm, gentle energy that makes him easy to be around and so rewarding to love. Balton is ready for a patient, kind home that will give him the time and reassurance he needs to fully settle in. In return, he’ll give you the sweetest trust, devotion, and companionship. If you believe in underdogs and love watching them blossom… Balton is your boy. 💛🐾

These pups are in Santa Rosa, California too!

Story
From foster parent:Junior- 1.5-2 yr old Cattle dog (Kelpie?) Husky-x, neutered maleJunior appears to get along well with other dogs, understood boundaries when he played too rough and never escalated. He did show some resource guarding towards a dog when chewing a bone, but easily allowed a human to take it away without incident. He was curious about the cat, but did not exhibit any prey drive tendencies towards it. He was not exposed to livestock or chickens so approach both with caution. He does seem to prefer women to men, but only just slightly. He is not fully housebroken and settles well in a crate or ex-pen as long as he’s had some mental and physical stimulation. Junior is a smart, sensitive and inquisitive dog who will take patience and good boundary-setting to learn the rules of your house. His leash manners are improving but will need work as will his tendency to want to counter-surf. He’s been introduced to the word “off” and rewarded each time he puts four feet on the floor, so will need consistency with training to learn what’s expected of him. He just relaxed enough in our home to start playing with toys and got very bouncy and silly last night. His nervousness will subside as he gets more comfortable in your home and that will make both training and playing with him more successful. He is not in-your-face kissy but is affectionate and friendly and does enjoy companionship. Please learn about both breeds as I believe he has some of the best traits of both. Please email us if you have any questions or concerns: gjequine@gmail.com or agilhusky@gmail.com we hope you love Junior as much as we do! Ps: He is just learning his name so feel free to change it. 556

Special Needs:  UPDATE: Daisy has made great strides.  She now goes on walks around the property, She hangs out with other dogs in our dog park. She is becoming much more comfortable around strangers. She is really blossoming. Give Daisy a chance at becoming an amazing addition to your family. Daisy needs someone with time and patience who wants to truely rescue a dog and help her blossom into an amazing companion. Daisy came to us very feral. She has improved but she is a project dog for someone who is willing to take the time and introduce her to the world and show her it is not such a scary place, She is making strides walking on a leash. She is very loving and sweet and has the ability to blossom if given the chance.
