Story
Meet Elijah, a handsome 4-year-old male Collie mix weighing 65 pounds. True to his Collie roots, Elijah has that wonderful combination of intelligence, loyalty, and gentle sweetness that makes this breed so beloved. Elijah is very friendly and has a kind, steady presence. Collie mixes are often known for being people-oriented, smart, sensitive, and eager to please, and Elijah has all the makings of a devoted family companion. He would love a home where he can be part of the action, go for walks, enjoy companionship, and settle in as someone’s loyal best friend. Elijah has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and has received his rabies shot. This sweet, handsome boy is ready for a forever home where he can be loved, appreciated, and included as part of the family.

Story
Zumi is a handsome Shepherd / Herder mix boy with a very happy spirit. This fun-loving guy is pure happiness, he loves everyone he meets! Kids, cats, dogs, and all people are instant friends in Zumi’s world. If you’re looking for a social butterfly with a wagging tail, he’s your guy. Zumi walks beautifully on leash and already knows several commands, including sit, give paw, and lay down. He’s incredibly eager to learn and motivated to please — training with him is not only easy, it’s fun! He’s the kind of smart, attentive pup who looks at you like you are his whole world. Zumi LOVES to play! He absolutely adores squeaky toys, loves to run, and if there’s water involved, even better! Splashing around brings out his goofy side. (Leaf blowers, however, are not his favorite thing — we all have our quirks!) Zumi is also a champion cuddler. He gives the best hugs and happily leans in for one right back. After a day of play and fun, he settles in nicely and sleeps through the night like a dream.

Story
Meet Cookie and read what her foster has shared about her. Cookie is nothing short of a wonderful dog. She has a calm and very loving personality, bonds deeply with her people and gives lots of kisses. She loves humans and is always eager to say hello! She's joyfully energetic and channels her energy very well in the house, enjoying rest and nap time after a long walk. She's also very smart and knows "sit", "wait", "leave it" and "paw". Frequent walks and hikes are needed, especially as Cookie loves being outside and exploring. She gets at least 1.5 hours of exercise in a day (walks + running in an enclosed space where she can burn off her energy and get her zoomies out). Every 2-3 days, she goes on a longer walk or hike for 3 to 4 hours. She adores her walks and needs an active and outdoorsy family. Cookie is also fully houstrained. She can totally be trusted when left alone and we allow her to free roam in the house. She sleeps on her dog bed in her crate at night (in the living room), and often hangs out in her crate during the day to be in her own space, when she's not by our side napping or asking for pets and snuggles! Overall, she's a happy pup who really wants to make friends and highly benefits from being socialized with dogs as it seems to boost both her mood and self-confidence. She is especially drawn to her northern breed cousins (huskies and samoyeds, to name a few) and enjoys playtime sessions with them. At times, Cookie can feel a little insecure and may resource guard her person from other dogs, so she will do best with an adopter who understands this behavior and can provide clear boundaries and reassurance. She has strong prey drive so is not good around small animals. While she does well with most dogs outside, she is more selective about dogs in her home when it comes to personality, size, and playfulness. We think Cookie would do well either in a home with a self-confident, energetic dog companion she can play with, or in a single-dog home where her human(s) find opportunities for her to be around other dogs and play. Please submit an application for her if you think she is a match for you.

Story
Chowder is a happy, fun-loving boy with loads of love to share. He loves to spend his day playing with his people, other canine companions, and a ball. Chowder loves to play fetch, though he isn't always great at giving it back. Chowder is currently housed with 3 other dogs, and they play all day. Chowder craves human attention, and begs to go on walks. He would do best in an active household. Chowder does well off-leash. he is inquisitive, and likes to check things out, but comes back when called. Chowder can be food aggressive, though are working with him and he has gotten much better. He would probably do best in an adult-only home, as he will act out if he feels threatened. Chowder would not be a good fit for a house with cats. Nonetheless, all Chowder really wants is a family and home to call his own, and he will delight whoever is lucky enough to take a chance on him. He really wants to be loved, and to do what is asked of him. He is very expressive and fun to be around.

Story
Meet Eve! Eve got her beautiful name after welcoming her puppies on Christmas Eve—(airplane puppies) a fitting beginning for such a gentle, loving soul. This sweet girl has a heart full of affection and a calm, tender nature. She absolutely adores being close to her people and will happily curl up in your lap, drifting off to sleep in your arms. Eve's fosters had the following to say about her: "This wonderful Blue Heeler mix is an intelligent, loyal companion ready for her next home. She is easy to train and already knows sit, down, stay, come, heel, easy, and load up. Crate trained, potty trained, and great on leash, she’s an ideal partner for hiking, adventures, or relaxing at a café. She has a quiet, aware nature with medium energy. Happy to explore or cuddle and nap at your feet. She would likely thrive as the only animal in the home, where she can fully bond with her people."
