Story
Meet Elsa! This 35-pound bundle of joy has made a full recovery from a broken humerus and is now ready to leap into the heart of her forever family! At about 2 years old, Elsa is all fun, play, and personality. Elsa does well with other dogs once she gets to know them, especially if they respect her space. She is not interested in playing with other dogs and prefers they leave her alone. She would much prefers human companionship once she gets to know you. She has a strong prey drive, though she appears to do well with cats in the home. One thing she absolutely cannot live without is her beloved toys. Whether she’s chasing a stick like the champion retriever she is or curling up after a long day of fun, Elsa brings joy wherever she goes. She is 1000% Heeler in both personality and traits. Elsa can be wary of new people at first and needs a patient adopter who will give her the time and space to adjust. Once she trusts you, she loves deeply and loyally for life. Because she takes time to settle in and feel secure, a calm, quieter home would suit her best. A busy household is not ideal, and homes with young children are not recommended. Elsa is housebroken, crate trained, and up to date on all her vetting: Rabies Spayed DHPPV Bordetella Microchip Deworming Adoption fee: $200Ready to add some sparkle and spunk to your life? Elsa’s waiting to meet you!   Furry Farm Rescue, established in 2017, is a foster home style rescue group in North Idaho. Story
Available for Adoption — The Camping Litter! Meet River (F), Oakley (F), S’more (M), and Pinecone (M) — four stinkin’ cute puppies ready to pack their little bags and head off to outstanding forever homes! These pups are adorable, sweet, and full of promise — but let’s be real: puppies are work. The first year matters so much, and we are looking for families who are ready to invest time, patience, training, structure, and lots of positive experiences to help them grow into well-balanced adult dogs. These kiddos are a mix of two working breeds, which means they are smart, busy, curious, and naturally ready to have a job. Growing up only in the backyard won’t be the right fit for them. They need exposure to new places, new sounds, new people, car rides, vet visits, leash walks, puppy-safe outings, and all the things that help rescue puppies become confident family dogs. They have already started working on potty training, crate training, collar exposure, and have been around kids. Now they need families ready to keep that good foundation going. Training is non-negotiable for this pack. They are the perfect age for Puppy Kindergarten, followed by a basic obedience class before they turn one. Pawsitive Connections offers Puppy Prep locally, and we are happy to provide trainer referrals in our area. Out of area? We can help point you toward options too. Each puppy will go home with:DHPPV vaccines, deworming, microchip, leash, collar, puppy food, and a favorite blanket/toy. Puppies are altered before adoption. Follow-up vet care, including remaining puppy shots and Rabies, will be the adopter’s responsibility. Adoption fee: $350FFR adopts to homes in Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and Montana.
