Story
Available 01/20/2025 This is Freya, she is a 1 year old heeler, collie mix. She came in with her litter mate Ari. They are both a little shy as it seems they have not been fully socialized. They seem to be okay around other dogs, but she has not been around cats. As the breed suggests she does heel. We were told that she has lived on a farm in the past but we are unsure if that information is true. She does get anxious without her sister, but we have been working with them so they can go to separate homes if needs be. She is currently not house trained, but with a little work it would not be difficult. Come in if you have any questions. Inquiries are on a first come first serve basis if you are interested in adoption feel free to stop by, call us, or send us a message. Call: (208) 359-3005 (we only answer during open hours) Email: animalshelter@rexburg.org Facebook: Rexburg Animal Shelter Instagram: @rexburganimalshelter

Story
Available 09/22/2025 This is Burton Guster or Gus for short. He was found out in Burton, but no one came forward so we are now looking for his forever home! He is a very sweet boy. He loves people and he is good with some dogs, but not intact males. He needs a home that does not have chickens as he will chase, with training that can be broken but we want to be up front about it. He is a very smart and we think that might be from the collie mix. We do not know how he is with cats. If you are interested come into the shelter and meet him. Inquiries are on a first come first serve basis if you are interested in adoption feel free to stop by, call us, or send us a message. Story
Available 01/20/2025 This is Ari, she is the sister to Freya. From what we have seen she is much more confidant and seems to do well on her own. She is also not house trained so she will need some work, but seems to learn a little quicker than her sister. As her breed suggests she does cobb so bear that in mind. She has not been tested about children or cats. If you have further questions please reach out to the shelter. Inquiries are on a first come first serve basis if you are interested in adoption feel free to stop by, call us, or send us a message.
