MEET MAX! HE'S READY TO LEAVE ANIMAL CONTROL BEHIND!
Some dogs end up at animal control because they're lost. Others end up there because the people they counted on decided they no longer wanted them.
For Max, unfortunately, it was both.
Max was found wandering as a stray, and although his owner was located, they decided they no longer wanted him.
But here's the thing about Max... he doesn't know he's been given up on. He's still the happiest boy, greeting everyone he meets with excitement and a wagging tail. And we think that's pretty special.
Max is just over a year old, believed to be a hound mix, and weighs about 35 pounds. He's the perfect medium-sized adventure buddy!
And this boy has SO much going for him!
LOVES people! Seriously, he's just happy to be included.
Great with other dogs! He'd love a canine buddy to hang out with.
Fetch champion! And we're not talking about the kind of fetch where YOU do all the retrieving. Max actually knows how the game works! He runs after the ball, brings it right back, and drops it at your feet, ready for another round.
Young, playful, and full of life! He's got so much love and happiness to share.
Here's where we need your help...
MAX IS STILL SITTING AT ANIMAL CONTROL.
We would LOVE to bring this sweet boy into Rover's Do Over, but we cannot pull him without a committed foster or adopter ready to welcome him.
Max doesn't need much. A soft place to sleep, someone to throw his ball, and a person who won't give up on him.
His first family may not have wanted him anymore, but we know there's someone out there who is going to wonder how they ever lived without him.
