Meet Peaches
Just like her name, Peaches is as sweet as they come. This stunning girl is believed to be a Collie or Australian Shepherd mix, though we can’t say for certain. What we do know is that she is absolutely breathtaking. With her gorgeous long coat, soulful eyes, and gentle personality, Peaches has a way of melting right into your arms and straight into your heart. Peaches came to us from a high-kill shelter in northern Louisiana after experiencing unimaginable heartbreak. She arrived after losing her puppies and was understandably stressed and confused. It took time, patience, and lots of love for her to adjust, but today she is thriving and has blossomed into the incredible dog we always knew she could be.
At approximately 3 years old and 55 pounds, Peaches is the total package. She adores people, loves attention, and wants nothing more than to be near her humans. She gets along beautifully with every dog she has met and is wonderful with both children and adults. Peaches walks beautifully on a leash, keeps her crate exceptionally clean, and has completed heartworm treatment. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, current on preventatives, and microchipped. One thing to know about Peaches is that she gets excited when greeting the people she loves. She may occasionally pop up on her back legs to say hello, so while she’s incredibly gentle and has zero aggression, a home with very young children should simply be aware that her enthusiastic greetings could accidentally knock over a little one.
We absolutely adore this girl and know we will miss her when she leaves her foster home. But more than anything, we cannot wait to see her finally get the loving family she deserves.
