It took him a little time to get comfortable, but he's definitely getting there. He responds well to us, comes when called, and doesn’t try to run off. He’s especially attached to my wife—he follows her everywhere and has truly become her shadow! Zipline does great when he's loose in the house. We had a couple of “lift the leg” incidents early on, but it’s been a long time since the last one. He takes correction well—just a firm voice is enough to get the message across. Zipline absolutely loves his stuffed toys (which are now mostly unstuffed!) and has started playing with our pup. Every night, he pops in a couple of times to say hi, and he’s always the first one in the room in the morning to greet us.   **  Zipline is Lyme positive. This is a tick-borne illness, and he is currently being treated with Doxycycline. To learn more about Lyme disease in dogs, read here:   https://share.google/sm9cgo5mKn9jjUmWWTo view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org December 10, 2025, 2:38 pm

She has improved her weight from mid-20 pounds to 34.4 pounds! She came to us not being kennel trained or house trained, and she is now trained to go into the kennel! It is not her favorite thing, however, but she will stay there for a few hours. Rosemarie uses the doggie door to go outside and go potty, and we have not had any more accidents in the house. Food must be kept off the counter and put away as she likes to eat what's left out (probably due to lack of food before coming to the shelter). Rosemarie gets on very well with our dog and has learned how to play. She likes to chew on sticks and walks very well on a leash. You have to be very careful and not let her loose because she tends to run-we think this is due to curiosity and wanting to see what is around! We don't kennel her at night, but we find that she is a night owl. She likes to go in and out and is restless until the early hours of the morning. Rosemarie has been quite easy to train and knows how to sit and lay on command. She likes to exercise and go outside and play, but she also likes to lie down on the couch and snuggle. She easily makes connections with people and will stay close to the person she connects with.To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org December 10, 2025, 2:38 pm
