Story
Cookie is 1 year old (DOB: 8/3/2024), and appears to be a mix breed, perhaps some Labrador and Collie mix. She's a beauty in her black & white coat. She was surrendered because her owners felt they were too old to give Cookie the life she needed and things she deserved. Cookie is a very sweet and loving dog. She has lots of energy, being a pup, and is very playful. Cookie is good with other dogs. She has been around men, women and children. She does like to chew some, so needs toys, as well as someone to spend time with her. Amarillo SPCA, 11901 S. Coulter. 806-622-0555.March 7, 2026, 3:21 pm

Story
Meet Davina! 🐾❤️ At just 5 months old, Davina has already overcome so much. This sweet Heeler mix was saved from euthanasia in the nick of time, and while she arrived scared and unsure of the world, she's been making wonderful progress every day. Since settling into foster care, Davina's personality has really started to shine. She absolutely loves kids and is happiest snuggled up beside them on the couch or in bed after a day of playing. She's sweet, gentle, and loves being close to her people, often following them around as she continues building confidence. Davina is still a bit timid in new situations, but she's becoming braver every day. Because of that, she would do best in a home with another confident canine companion who can help show her that the world isn't such a scary place. Like many Heelers, Davina does have some herding instincts. She has shown some herding behavior with cats by crouching low and watching them, though she hasn't tried to chase the calm cats in her foster home. If a cat were to run, she may be tempted to give chase, so a home with dog-savvy cats or no cats may be the best fit. She's almost potty trained, waits to go outside, settles quietly in her crate at night, and has already mastered using a dog door in less than 24 hours. Davina is incredibly smart, eager to learn, and continues to impress her foster family every day. Davina is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, microchipped, and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She's ready to leave her difficult past behind and find a patient family that will help her continue to blossom into the amazing dog she's meant to be. Could you be the one to show Davina what forever feels like? 💕

Story
Sky is a 2 year old, active, red heeler mix. She is housetrained on bare floor and we’re working on carpet. Outside she potties on command. She’s cratetrained for meals and at night. Sky loves to run, walks in a harness, will fetch for hours, and when worn out, she appreciates a good snuggle. She loves treat puzzles and peanut butter in a kong. She knows sit, lie down, and high five. Sky loves our 9 and 11 yo kids. She is noise sensitive, needs positive reinforcement over scolding and a secure yard with a tall fence. She loves car rides and even rode a paddle board and liked to play in the water by the shore. We’re rehoming her because she’s not a good fit with our smallest dog, resulting in a bite to the other. We feel she would do best where she can be an only dog or possibly a 2nd dog with a large friend that she can’t dominate. We love her and are saddened to lose her. We are eager to find a home that will be a perfect fit. She deserves it.Comes with crate, bowl, harness, toys.
