Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $0 WAIVED if picked up in TN, $100 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Lacy is a one-year-old Airedale Terrier mix with a beautiful scruffy coat, a bright and curious mind, and a smile that shows up so often it is basically her signature look! This 45-pound girl is playful, smart, and surprisingly quick to figure things out, picking up the dog door instantly and arriving at mealtime without a single reminder. She plays fetch, loves a good game of tug, and has absolutely charmed everyone she has met by greeting them with the sweetest little hand lick after working up the courage to say hello. Housetrained, quiet in the car, solid on a leash, and sleeping through the night in her crate like a champ, this girl is already checking a lot of boxes! Lacy is treat motivated which makes her a great candidate for continued training, and she already has a solid understanding of come. She is a gentle and non-aggressive girl who has played happily with dogs of all sizes, and her calm curiosity around squirrels suggests she may do just fine with a cat in the home. Lacy is still building her confidence around people, so this sweet girl is a little timid about being petted, though she is already showing signs that she is going to absolutely love it once she fully settles in. A patient family who understands shy dogs will find her blossoming beautifully with time and consistency. One important note is that she is an accomplished 4 ft fence climber, so a six foot fence or leash walks are a must to keep this adventurous girl safely at home. A playful canine companion, a large yard or rural property to explore, and a kind and patient family willing to show her that people are pretty wonderful after all is really all this sweet girl is asking for. She is already smiling, and something tells us she is just getting started. To learn more about Lacy, text AARF at 931-260-8018 or visit www.aarf-tn.com today!    Interested in adopting? THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. July 17, 2026, 5:43 pm

Story
Meet Kaden, a very sweet and gentle boy who is looking for a patient family willing to give him the time he needs to blossom. Kaden is quite shy and can be very fearful of new people and unfamiliar situations, so building trust with him takes time. Once he begins to feel safe, his sweet personality starts to shine through. Despite his timid nature, Kaden is a curious dog who loves to explore his surroundings and check things out at his own pace. He's happiest when he can observe the world in a calm, predictable environment where he feels secure. Kaden would do best in a quiet, lower-activity home without small children. While he still enjoys exercise and enrichment, he thrives most with a calm, consistent routine and a family that understands he may need extra time to adjust. Patience and gentle encouragement will go a long way in helping him gain confidence. Kaden is also housetrained, making the transition into his new home a little easier. If you're looking for a loyal companion and have the patience to help a shy dog come out of his shell, Kaden may be the perfect match for you.

Story
Sequoia, affectionately known as Quoia, is a 7-year-old, 40 lb, spayed female Border Collie/Catahoula mix looking for a loving forever home. Quoia is a devoted, affectionate companion who thrives on being close to her person. Whether she's curled up beside you on the couch or joining you on a long hike, she's happiest simply being with the people she loves. She enjoys hiking, long walks, swimming, and exploring, making her a wonderful adventure buddy, but she's just as content spending hours snuggled up at home. She's very well trained, has excellent recall, and is eager to please. Quoia loves making her humans proud and responds well to positive attention and routine. Outside of the home, Quoia greets other dogs in a friendly and respectful manner, but prefers to rule the roost inside her home. Although she lives with another dog currently, she can be protective of food/toys and we feel she would be happiest as an only pet in an adult only home. She can be nervous around certain triggers, such as loud noises and even folding laundry, so she'll do best in a calm environment with patient, understanding adults who can help her feel safe and secure. Quoia's ideal home: One or two adults No children No other pets Country/relaxed setting Someone looking for a loyal, loving best friend Quoia has so much love to give. She's sweet, gentle, incredibly loyal, and deeply devoted to her people. She's looking for someone who will cherish her for the wonderful dog she is and give her the calm, loving home she deserves. If you're searching for a faithful companion to share adventures, quiet evenings, and unconditional love, Quoia could be the perfect match.
