Story
*This is a courtesy post for an individual looking to re-home their dog* Molly is an enthusiastic sweet potato who will steal your heart, and your toys! She will greet you with a toy and loves hiking mountains and cuddling on the couch in equal measures. She loves to chew on hard toys and tear the tentacles off octopus toys. No rope toys. Two walks per day is ideal, but at least one walk a day is essential or she'll be vibrating like the energizer bunny. A mountain or a farm may tire her out, but otherwise she's ready to rumble any time of day. Tug is her favorite game, but she's an expert at fetch too. She's an affectionate girl and will ask for kisses by sitting next to you and putting her face in front of yours. She’ll lean against you if you're not getting the hint!  Molly grew up with cats and gets along with male dogs. She's had some conflicts with female dogs, so another lady roommate might not be a good fit. She's done fine with new cats. She likes to be the boss (it’s the cattle dog), so she would do best with easygoing roommates and someone who can continue her training. She is shy meeting new dogs and people but warms up with gentle encouragement and lots of treats. She's done great in off leash neutral environments. She has not really interacted with children, so I do not know how she would be with them.  An active household would be ideal for her, as she would thrive with someone who could take her out running, hiking, etc. She would do well with an experienced owner who can dedicate some time to training. She's a quick study and food is her number one motivator!  Although she has not been on a farm before, with her strong herding instincts, I think she would thrive on a farm or with someone who has a large piece of land who can give her a job.  She has some reactivity and pulling tendencies on leash. She barks at people coming to the door and neighbors in the yard.  Although generally comfortable in her kennel, she gets fomo if she hears people having fun in the house without her! She won’t destroy anything if left in the house, but will get into snacks and tissues. Molly knows basic commands.  She gets anxious at the vet and when new people come over, so we have trazodone we give her ahead of time. Molly is spayed and up-to-date on all her vaccinations. She has a microchip.  I've fed her various brands of salmon and rice. I have not been particular about treats. Molly is a sweet, silly girl who would thrive with someone who can match her exercise and training needs.   ##2714998##

Patty is a lovable 2 year old Australian Cattle Herding Dog Mix we have her DNA and pet insurance that may be transferable. We adopted her 6 months ago from the Humane Society. The only reason we are rehoming her is we are both in or late 70s and she needs more activity than we can provide unfortunately. We will be analyzing anyone applying for Patty will insist you have a large fenced yard or ranch setting and show us you will be loving parents and owners.
