Story
Hi… I’m Atta 🐾 I’m 8 months old, a Jindo × Hound mix girl, and about 10kg of pure love and wiggles. When I was just 3 months old, I was placed on the euthanasia list at a shelter in Gwangju. I was still such a tiny puppy. Thankfully, kind people rescued me, and I spent two whole months in a foster home learning something very special — what it feels like to be loved, to live in a house, and to trust human hands. Now I’m safe, and I’m waiting for you — my forever family. My name, “Atta,” kind of sounds bright and cheerful… and that’s exactly who I am! I really love people. I love being near you, leaning into you, looking up at you, and giving you all my affection. I’m the kind of dog who will make you smile without even trying. When it’s playtime, I’m energetic and a little silly. I love to move, explore, and have fun! But inside the house, I’m actually very good at settling down. I can rest calmly and just enjoy being quietly by your side. I don’t always need excitement — sometimes I just want to share space with you. I’m gentle and friendly with people of all ages, and I can be soft and sweet with children too. I also get along well with other dogs — I have good manners and enjoy having canine friends. I’ve learned indoor potty training, though if I move to a new environment, I might make a small mistake at first. I’m still just a young puppy, after all. If you guide me patiently and lovingly, I promise I’ll learn quickly and try my very best to make you proud. I’m still growing — not just in size, but in heart and experience. I’m ready to go on walks with you, learn new things with you, and build a life together step by step. All I need is someone who will love me, be patient with me, and promise that I’ll never have to wonder where I belong again. If you give me your heart, I’ll give you mine for the rest of my life. Will you be my forever family? 🐶💕

Story
Meet Duke - The Gentle Giant with a Lap‑Dog Heart!Duke is a handsome 4 year old coonhound mix looking for a family to call his own. He may be a little shy at first, but with patience and kindness he warms up into the sweetest, most affectionate companion.True to his Coonhound nature, Duke has a strong prey drive and an incredible nose. Sniffing is his favourite hobby, and he'd thrive in a home that enjoys scent work games, enrichment activities, and plenty of outdoor adventures. An active household would be a great match for him, he'd love nothing more than long hikes, forest walks, and exploring new neighborhoods. He's currently polishing his leash manners and learning that his big paws belong on the ground. Despite his size, Duke is convinced he's a lap dog and will happily lean in for cuddles once he feels safe. He already knows basic cues like sit and shake a paw, and he responds beautifully to positive reinforcement. While Duke hasn't been barking in shelter, he does tend to whine at times. Duke does get a bit anxious when left alone, so he'll do best with an adopter who can support him as he builds confidence and learns that solo time is okay.Duke would thrive as the only pet in the home, where he can soak up all the love and attention. If you're searching for a sweet, goofy, oversized best friend who just wants to be loved, Duke might be your perfect match.Come meet sweet Duke at the West Vancouver branch! Adoption hours are 12-3 pm, Tuesday through Sunday (closed Mondays). Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Black Weight: 37.7 Age: 4yrs 0mths 3wks
