Story
* To be considered for a meet/adoption, please read the full biography to see whether they may be a good fit for your home, then submit an online application at www.dpsrescue.org.  Adoption fee: $650 Meet the Starbucks Puppies   The Starbucks puppies are approximately 10 week old mystery mutts who resemble little hound mixes with a few other breeds sprinkled into the recipe. We may not know their exact ingredients, but this trio is serving up sweetness, affection, and plenty of puppy energy.   Vanilla Bean, Hot Cocoa, and Chai Tea Latte are gentle, people-oriented puppies who love children and happily soak up every bit of attention they receive.    Eat, Sleep, Play, Repeat   The puppies begin their day around 7:15 a.m. and settle down for bed at approximately 8 p.m. Between those hours, their schedule consists of enthusiastic meals, energetic play sessions, plenty of water, and lots of naps. They are growing quickly and have appetites to match!   When their foster family leaves, the puppies may cry for a few seconds before settling down. They generally spend the time sleeping until their people return. They do not bark much, although they may occasionally speak up in the morning when they are awake and ready for affection.   Vanilla Bean: The Social Butterfly   Vanilla Bean is the most outgoing member of the trio. With her enormous, expressive eyes, she will stare directly into your soul—and then politely request that you begin petting her.   Vanilla Bean always wants to be close to her people and loves receiving affection. If one of her sisters is being petted, she will patiently wait nearby until it is her turn. She is affectionate without being much of a lap lounger; there is simply too much to see, investigate, and do. She would thrive with an active family ready to play, explore, and include her in their adventures.   Vanilla Bean sometimes gently mouths a person’s hand while being petted as her slightly toothy expression of love. She stops immediately when corrected and is already learning that affection does not require using her teeth.   Hot Cocoa: The Cozy One   Hot Cocoa is the calmest and least active puppy in the litter. She may not immediately approach someone to request affection, but place her in your lap and she will happily remain there for a long time. Beneath her independent exterior is a cuddly little puppy who thoroughly enjoys being loved.   Hot Cocoa is confident around food and would gladly finish her entire meal before helping herself to her sisters’ portions. Feeding her separately will allow everyone to eat peacefully while helping her develop good mealtime habits.     Chai Tea Latte: The Sweetheart   Chai Tea Latte is the softest personality of the group. She is gentle, affectionate, and happiest when she is curled up in someone’s lap. She tends to let her sisters take the lead, but she has plenty of love to offer once she gets her turn.   Chai Tea Latte would blossom with a family that gives her encouragement, cuddles, and opportunities to build confidence. She enjoys playing and being included, but her favorite place may always be right in the middle of a warm lap.   Growing Up Starbucks   All three puppies are playful, loving, and wonderful with children. They enjoy attention, activity, and being part of whatever their people are doing. Vanilla Bean and Chai Tea Latte are the more energetic members of the group, while Hot Cocoa brings a slightly more relaxed flavor to the litter.   Like most puppies their age, they are teething and love to chew. Rope toys and durable puppy-safe chews help soothe their gums and keep them appropriately entertained. They have not shown much interest in digging and are generally not especially vocal.   Their adopters should be prepared to continue working on potty training, crate or pen training, leash skills, appropriate chewing, socialization, and all the other lessons that come with raising a young puppy. With consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement, these eager-to-please puppies should make wonderful students.   The Perfect Order   The ideal homes for the Starbucks puppies will provide plenty of affection, playtime, exercise, training, and opportunities to remain closely connected with their people. They would be delighted to join families with children who understand how to interact gently with a growing puppy.   Vanilla Bean, Hot Cocoa, and Chai Tea Latte will be adopted separately so each puppy can bond with their new family and receive the individual attention and training they need. Whether you prefer an outgoing Vanilla Bean, a cozy cup of Hot Cocoa, or a sweet Chai Tea Latte, this Starbucks menu has something irresistible for every puppy lover.   September 17, 2026, 4:58 pm
