Story
Gladys is am 8 yr old hound mix looking for someone to give her a good home and experience love for the first time. Gladys has spent her entire life tied to a cement block with a heavy car chain. Gladys has no idea to even expect good things from people, but responds well to attention and learning new things. Of course her hound nose is always working and she will need a fenced yard so she can move freely but not go too far. Gladys is fine with other dogs with proper introduction. If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Gladys’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Story
** WOULD LIKE ANOTHER DOG IN FAMILY ** ** A  6 FT FENCE TO PROTECT HIM FROM WANDERING ** Meet Liam, an affectionate and playful 45 lb Tree Walking Coonhound. He is only 1 year old so he can still be a bundle of energy that needs daily walks, stimulation, and continued training. He is food motivated making training a breeze and he catches on fast.  In his short time here, he has already learned sit, and kennel; however, he does not like the kennel during the day and would be best left to roam the house or be confined to a specific room. Pick up your belongings though as he is still learning what is his and what is not! At night he will go right in the kennel and settle down quietly. Some of his favorite activities include snuggling in your lap and playing with his toys. He would love another dog friend to spend his time with and a 6ft privacy fence to make sure he doesn’t take any solo adventures. He gets along with cats and is probably good with children as well, but has not met any with his foster family to know for sure.   If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Story
Moose is a 1 year old mutt that we received, with his brother, from a co-worker. He does well with my small children and his brother, but not with cats or other dogs. My children are afraid of him now, due to his size, and we need him to find another home as soon as possible. We would love it if his brother could join him in his new home, since they haven't been parted since birth. But we understand this is a big ask.
