Story
This is Luke. Yes, he does pose for nearly every photo like this. Why? We don't know🤷‍♀️Luke is 4 years old and very committed to the hound lifestyle. He follows his nose, his own schedule, and approximately zero unsolicited opinions from humans. If you're looking for a dog that lives to please, Luke would like to suggest you keep looking.Luke's hobbies include: • acting like he pays the mortgage• selectively listening• making dramatic comments about things he doesn't agree with• pretending basic requests are personal attacksHe is not a fan of small animals. At all. Not even a little.Other dogs are okay in moderation, but Luke does have thoughts and he WILL be sharing them.He would do best in an adult-only home with people who understand the working hound breed and appreciate a dog with strong boundaries, selective hearing, and grumpy grandpa energy trapped inside a 4-year-old dog body. And honestly? There's something very lovable about him once you stop expecting him to be someone he's not. Luke doesn't need everybody to like him. He just needs his people. The kind of people who laugh when their dog sighs dramatically after being asked to come inside. If your dream dog is a slightly judgmental coworker with floppy ears, Luke may be waiting for you.Thank you, CBD American Shaman Topeka, for sponsoring a portion of my adoption fee! Primary Color: Red W/white Weight: 90 Age: 4yrs 4mths 0wks

Story
Hi there, friends, I’m Woobie! What’s a Woobie? It’s me, of course. A woobie is also a name for something people might call a security blanket. I guess it makes people feel comfortable and safe. I sure hope that’s what I do, too. I know what it’s like not to feel settled, because I was running the streets for a long time. This whole idea you call “home” is much nicer than that was. I am really well-behaved in the house, so you’ll be glad to have me home, too. I like all the people, even those small ones you call kids, and everyone always tells me that I’m a good boy. I sure like to hear that. Even better, I like it if you pet me. If you don’t think of that idea, I’ll be happy to remind you that I’m there for petting. I like other dogs, and we can play together and even snuggle together. But I don’t need to live with another dog; I’d be just as happy by myself – and with you, of course. Cats aren’t not my thing, so a home with no feline friends is necessary for me. My favorite place is the end of the couch. It’s so comfortable and soft, and you can just rest your bones there so nicely…zzzzzzz. Oops, I think I dozed off there! I like to be in that spot, and my foster mom calls me Sheldon. I don’t get it, that’s just my spot. And my name is Woobie, not Sheldon, silly foster mom. Do you have a nice spot on your couch, too, where you could put a Woobie? Then you should bring me home. Woobie is approximately 4 years old and weighs just under 70 pounds. He could be a Doberman mix or a Coonhound mix, or some of both? We’re not sure. But he is a great guy, that we are 100% sure of! Woobie is house-trained, crate-trained, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He’ll come to you current on flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. His adoption fee is $175.
