Story
This is Rufus, he is a 1.5 year old American English Coonhound/Mountain Cur mix. He is currently right at 50lbs. We rescued him when he was about 4 months old. We had hoped he would be a companion for our older dog, but we’ve been experiencing issues with resource guarding. Due to this we would recommend he go to a home with no other dogs. He is the sweetest boy and loves to snuggle with his humans. He’s extremely intelligent and recently completed a 3-week board and train program. Rufus is house-trained, crate-trained, and can walk in a perfect heel. He would thrive in a home with a big yard or on a farm where he has lots of room to roam, and with a family that has an active lifestyle that has time to reinforce his training.

ELI: The Best part of my day is waking up and seeing MY Person! I love hugs and kisses in the morning. I am happy-go-lucky, lovable and affectionate. Give me a stick or ball and I smile ear to ear. I think squirrels are the 8th wonder of the world! I love to go outside, explore but I can be very content. I love snuggling with my best friend; I just loved to love and be loved.
