Make sure you let us know you saw Dolly on Adopt-a-pet. Dolly showed up with her little pal Reba, and this dynamic duo are looking for a home to call their own now! Polite and potty trained, these girls are the sweetest around! Dolly is 58 lbs but you would never guess at first glance! Dolly's Foster Report Card: Rides well and quietly in the car. Very chill and relaxed... choose me and we'll be "Islands in the Stream"?? Calm/Gentle with kids, she says "I Will Always Love You"?? She's no "Backwoods Barbie", housetrained - and a very regular ?? schedule Don't worry about that squirrel "Jolene"?? . Dolly will make sure to chase her off. Walks well on a leash until "Jolene"?? shows up. Enjoys pets and massages - just leave the feet alone. ?? Loves basking in the sun with her "Coat of Many Colors"?? Naps like it's her "9 to 5" ?? and sleeps thru the night (on living room couch) Unbothered with the comings and goings of daily life, just gave us the "Here You Come Again"?? look from the couch. Please choose Dolly (and Reba) so, it's not a "Hard Candy Christmas"?? this year.

Courtesy Post Meet Tyson a Sweet Senior Gentleman Life has changed dramatically for this handsome 11-12-year-old Coonhound mix after the heartbreaking loss of his beloved owner. While he's still adjusting, his gentle, loving personality continues to shine, and he's hoping to find a forever family to love again. This sweet senior is everything you could want in a companion. He's calm, affectionate, house-trained, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. He recently had a full wellness exam, bloodwork, a dental cleaning, tested heartworm negative, and is ready for his next chapter. He gets along well with dogs of all sizes and enjoys the company of adults, whether they're family or strangers. While he hasn't spent much time around young children, his easygoing, mellow nature suggests he would likely do well with respectful kids. Cats, however, are not his cup of tea. One of his most charming traits? He loves to "sing" along to a few of his favorite songs, adding a little extra joy and personality to every day. If you're looking for a loyal, low-key companion who still has so much love to give, this sweet boy would love the chance to fill your home—and your heart. This is a courtesy post. Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee. Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders Transport Company. This is a wonderful gal!! She is very friendly and loves people. She likes to talk, play with other pups and be hugged by anyone! She would be a great adventure companion for any family. She has done well on a leash and in a car. She will need all of the basic training but should learn quite fast. She is ready to go!
