Hey There, my name is Evie! Pronounced like E-V. And I am a 1 of a kind gal. I am estimated to be roughly 7 years old, I’m spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date on my heartworm testing. My story before the shelter is not very clear. In fact, I don’t quite remember how I got here. All I know is I turned up on stray. I might have been a hunting dog in my past life. Regardless. No one came to get me after I showed up on stray. I don’t know that I’ve ever been in a home before, but I was on foster for a little while, and they had wonderful things to say about me. They said I would be a wonderful companion dog, I would love someone that takes me for extra long walks, I love to snuggle, I need some help w/ my potty training but, if you give me the time, I’ll give you the love. Polite and potty trained, these girls are the sweetest around! Dolly is 58 lbs but you would never guess at first glance! Dolly's Foster Report Card: Rides well and quietly in the car. Very chill and relaxed... choose me and we'll be "Islands in the Stream"?? Calm/Gentle with kids, she says "I Will Always Love You"?? She's no "Backwoods Barbie", housetrained - and a very regular ?? schedule Don't worry about that squirrel "Jolene"?? . Dolly will make sure to chase her off. Walks well on a leash until "Jolene"?? shows up. Enjoys pets and massages - just leave the feet alone. ?? Loves basking in the sun with her "Coat of Many Colors"?? Her name is Serenity, and that's exactly what we're hoping she finds when she finally gets a chance to break out of the shelter. Shelter life is a lot for this beautiful Coonhound mix. She's anxious and easily worked up here and gets very overwhelmed. But underneath all that stress is a sweet girl who is trying her best to figure things out. Give Serenity a calmer environment and you start to see a different side of her. She knows some commands, is VERY food motivated, which makes her eager to learn, and she's curious about other dogs. She's easily distracted and still figuring out this whole "how do I play with my people?" thing, but she enjoys toys and is learning how to be a dog more and more every day. And then there are those big velvet ears and those soulful eyes that will break away at your heart. She looks like she is always in deep thought and we're pretty sure she's wondering when her person is finally coming for her. She will need a strong handler as she pulls very hard on the leash especially when she is nervous and she digs anxiously in the yard as well. While he's still adjusting, his gentle, loving personality continues to shine, and he's hoping to find a forever family to love again. This sweet senior is everything you could want in a companion. He's calm, affectionate, house-trained, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. He recently had a full wellness exam, bloodwork, a dental cleaning, tested heartworm negative, and is ready for his next chapter. He gets along well with dogs of all sizes and enjoys the company of adults, whether they're family or strangers. While he hasn't spent much time around young children, his easygoing, mellow nature suggests he would likely do well with respectful kids. Cats, however, are not his cup of tea.
