She is great with dogs, cats, and kids, housebroken and well behaved. She is so grateful and loving. She can go to most any home and adjust, and a fenced in yard would be necessary for her total happiness. She has her wormings done , flea and tick control, 4dx tested for Anaplasma, Erichilia, Lyme and HW disease. She has her DHLPP and Rabies, HW prevention started, spayed, and a Home Again Chip with a prepaid lifetime registration and 30 days of free Pet Insurance. Apply at www.lakeheavenrescue.orgSpecial Announcement"Lake Haven Loves Coonhounds"If you have visited us often you might have noticed that we love coonhounds. This was not always the case until a few came our way and we started working with them. We now know that:(1) They are sweet, sensitive companions similar to many of the other popular hunting breeds like retrievers and pointers. Coonhounds are guaranteed to make you laugh with their silly personalities and sense of humor.(2) They are an American original. Born, bred and developed in the USA!(3) Most are not aggressive seekers of attention so a gentle hand on their backs or a stroke to their soft ears quickly leads to melting contentment.(4) Grooming doesn’t get much easier! A quick swipe over their short, slick coats, nail trim and ear clean will put the polish to a hound.(5) Most hounds over two years old have a great on/off switch. Full of energy and ready to rock when a job is at hand, then content to laze on the porch or dog bed for hours when it's quiet time.(6) Coonhounds rarely “borrow trouble”. While they are far from innocent if an opportunity presents itself, they won’t invent or create problems.(7) Bred and selected to be workers, they have few congenital issues or problems that show up in dogs bred for a particular “look”.(8) Kid-friendly and dog-friendly! Many hounds were bred to hunt in packs, so they have great social skills for the dog park or in your home.(9) Soulful brown eyes to drown in and long silky ears to adore.(10) Stripes and speckles, spots and solids, reds, blues, tan, black, white, colors galore!

Story
Meet Coach Kerr! Coach Kerr is a goofy 9-month-old with an adventurous spirit, a playful streak, and a soft spot for scratches. Once he gets comfortable, his sweet personality shines through; whether he's racing around the play yard with zoomies, carrying around a toy, or soaking up cuddles from his favorite people. He can be a little shy when meeting new people and may take a few moments to warm up, but patience goes a long way with him. Volunteers describe him as gentle, affectionate, and eager for attention once he trusts you. He loves spending time outside, enjoys sniffing along the trail, and has a playful side that comes out in the yard with toys and games of fetch. Like many young dogs, Coach Kerr gets excited when it's time to head outside and may jump around in his enthusiasm. Once he gets moving, he settles into a pleasant walk and enjoys exploring at his own pace. Coach Kerr is looking for a family that will continue building his confidence, embrace his fun-loving personality, and give him plenty of opportunities to play, explore, and be the happy young dog he is. Coach Kerr at a Glance Age: 9 months Favorite Activities: Zooming around the play yard, playing with toys, going for walks, sniffing, playing fetch, and soaking up pets and ear scratches Training: Knows "sit," enjoys walks once he settles in, and is continuing to build confidence and leash manners Personality: Sweet, playful, affectionate, a little shy at first, energetic, and goofy ##2738741##

Story
Meet Frannie! Frannie is one of those dogs whose sweetness shows up right away. She leans into affection, enjoys being close to her people, and has a playful side that really comes out once she’s comfortable. Whether she’s carrying around a toy, exploring on a walk, or soaking up attention, she brings a gentle, happy energy with her. She’s been described again and again as very sweet and affectionate, and it’s easy to see why. Frannie enjoys toys, especially squeaky ones, and has a fun, slightly goofy side when she’s in the yard, where she loves to run and explore. On walks, she’s generally a good walker and likes to stop and sniff along the way, taking in everything around her. Frannie can be a little sensitive at times and may startle with quick movements or new surroundings, but with a gentle approach, she starts to relax and show more of her personality. She also has a playful, attention-seeking side and may paw at you to ask for more pets. She’s motivated by treats and enjoys engaging with her handler, which makes her a great candidate for continued training. She would likely do best with someone who understands that she may need a little time to fully settle in, but who will be rewarded with a loyal, affectionate companion who truly enjoys being with her people. Frannie at a glance: Age: 4 years old Personality: Sweet, affectionate, playful Training: Knows sit; treat motivated Favorite Activities: Playing with toys, running in the yard, sniffy walks, soaking up attention and pets   See more of their personality, charm, and everyday moments here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1YOEI0eqx9bmS1WGxZGjkAfhAsM2kzuX ##2674565##
