**All dogs are by appointment only, please inquire through Petfinder, Adopt-a-pet, Rescueme.org or e-mail us directly at shelter@hbpets.org for the dogs questionnaire*** **Hooray for whip cream day, thanks to a wonderful donation from Mariah, please enjoy the pictures** Meet Lady, approx. 2yrs, soon to be spayed female, Coonhound/Lab Mix. Lady is sweet, intelligent, strong-willed, eager to learn and a very strong dog. Lady's ideal home would be someone with knowledge physically and mentally strong breeds, a fenced backyard (a fenced backyard is required for this girl), maybe someone who will take her on adventures like hiking. Lady was a stray, so we don't have any previous history. While she can see other dogs at a distance, she needs to be the only dog in the home. Lady is doing well learning how to walk on a harness, she would love to bond with her owner over ongoing basic training. My adoption fee is $200

Josie is a beautiful 3-year-old Black and Tan Coonhound who happens to be blind. This sweet girl has such a gentle heart. Josie would thrive in a patient adoptive home that can help her adjust to her new surroundings. She was spayed 11/5/25. Josie loves other dogs and is great with people and children. She enjoys doggy daycare as well. She is very sweet natured and gets use to her environment quite quickly. She is in a wonderful foster home right now and finds her way around the house beautifully and even uses the doggy door. If you’re interested in fostering or adopting this very special girl, please reach out — she deserves a loving place to call home.
