Story
Pixie is a 4-year-old Coonhound who shows her true personality in her howl. She is very vocal, and she will make sure you hear her! She likes to zone out and just listen to her own voice. She's been known to bark at a wall for no reason at all. Other than her silliness, Pixie is a very sweet dog. She displays almost zero shyness to new faces. She's happy to get the attention from just about anyone. She is very treat motivated. Some would call her lazy, others would say laid-back. She is definitely a dog that could be your next couch potato when she doesn't have the zoomies. As any typical hound, she has those playful times full of running, jumping and back-n-forth zoomies. She enjoys lounging around and cuddling up with her human(s). We have yet to meet a person that Pixie doesn't like, as well as dogs. Pixie has been very good around the other dogs, and she has had no known issues. She also seems very curious in the cat room. She walks past all the cats with her tail wagging and her nose working towards them. Even with more reactive cats, Pixie recovers well and shows that she would do pretty well in a home with cats. Pixie walks well on a leash and looks forward to her humans taking her for walks. Pixie was surrendered to us in early April in hopes she would go to a better home! If Pixie sounds like the right pup for you, apply today!

Story
Homer: Trail-Ready Adventurer & Couch Companion. Living with Homer is just easy. Affectionate, kind, and relaxed. He settled into foster care with a life-sized stuffie as his comfort companion. He sleeps curled up with it. It tells you everything you need to know about him. In the house, he is content. At your feet on a work-from-home day, on the couch when the day winds down. He lives in foster care with two dogs, one meek and one intensely alpha, and navigates both without posturing or missing a beat. He fits into a pack like he was always there. Gentle with kids. A 5-year-old recently played all over him. He was patient and kind the whole time. Deeply dog-friendly. Not a cat household. He loves a good walk and can handle a real hike. Great on leash, happy in the car, and ready for a road trip. He takes kids, bikes, and chaos in stride with the quiet confidence of a dog who has seen things and isn't rattled by much. He may whine softly while he settles in. Hounds feel things deeply and aren't shy about it. It passes. He is housetrained, crate trained, and sleeps beautifully. One caveat: he will surf your counters if given the chance. He's sneaky like that. Homer came to us through no fault of his own. He's adjusting, ready, and worth it. Give him a good walk and a place to land. He will be yours completely. Senior for Seniors Program eligible. Homer is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and available for adoption through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA KL# 16182.  ##2662160##
