Meet Jessie Belle! She is a 6 year old Redbone Coonhound who recently lost her family. Jessie Belle is a very sweet and chill old lady who is looking for a retirement home. She would do best in a home with older children and a family who like to hang at the house. She is good with dogs and cats. She is up to date on her annual vaccines, 4DX negative, microchipped and spayed. Pixie is a 4-year-old Coonhound who shows her true personality in her howl. She is very vocal, and she will make sure you hear her! She likes to zone out and just listen to her own voice. She's been known to bark at a wall for no reason at all. Other than her silliness, Pixie is a very sweet dog. She displays almost zero shyness to new faces. She's happy to get the attention from just about anyone. She is very treat motivated. Some would call her lazy, others would say laid-back. She is definitely a dog that could be your next couch potato when she doesn't have the zoomies. As any typical hound, she has those playful times full of running, jumping and back-n-forth zoomies. She enjoys lounging around and cuddling up with her human(s). We have yet to meet a person that Pixie doesn't like, as well as dogs. Pixie has been very good around the other dogs, and she has had no known issues. She also seems very curious in the cat room. She walks past all the cats with her tail wagging and her nose working towards them. Even with more reactive cats, Pixie recovers well and shows that she would do pretty well in a home with cats. Pixie walks well on a leash and looks forward to her humans taking her for walks. Pixie was surrendered to us in early April in hopes she would go to a better home! Emmie Lou is a 7 year old black & tan coonhound. She weighs around 65 pounds, is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and is on prevention. This girl is full of personality. She is very affectionate and loves attention and to snuggle. Don’t let her age fool you. Emmie Lou is still an active girl that can still tree a coon a lives for her walks. This girl has no trouble walking 6 miles and could keep going. She will help keep you in shape and active since she will sit by the door if you forget her walk. If you need a walking buddy Emmie Lou is your girl. Poppy is an estimated 11 year old, Coonhound mix who was brought to our shelter after spending most of her life outside in a kennel behind an abandoned burnt down cabin. Upon arrival to our shelter Poppy was taken to be seen by our vet's office. Unfortunately, the news from the medical team was not as expected. Poppy had a large tumor on her spleen that required removal, and two large mammary tumors were also identified, resulting in lumpectomies. Post-surgery, Poppy's chest x-ray looked clear, and we are now awaiting biopsy results. Lilly is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.
