Story
We are looking to rehome our 6-year-old spayed female rescue dog. She weighs approximately 30–35 pounds and was adopted from Young-Williams Animal Center when she was young. This is an extremely difficult decision for our family, but after welcoming a new baby, we have determined that she is not a safe fit for a home with children. She is very loving with adults and enjoys being close to her people. She loves cuddling, going for walks, boat rides, and spending time outdoors. She is a happy, energetic dog who thrives on attention and companionship. She also has a fun personality and will “talk” back if you howl at her. Because she has shown concerning behaviors around children, she needs an adult-only home. She would do best with someone who can provide plenty of exercise, structure, patience, and affection. We want to find her a loving home where she can be successful and receive the attention she deserves. Our priority is finding the right match for her long-term happiness.

Story
Lady is being fostered in TX. HI! I am delighted that you are interested in knowing more about me! I am about 3 months old*. My absolute passions are EAT, MOVE and Cuddle! In fact, among my many super pawers is my super sense of smell, so I became highly excited when smelling delicious foods around me! My foster mamma and I are working hard to learn how to harness this super power! My second super power is my high level of energy and my strong curiosity, I guess that makes three super powers, isn’ it? If you don’t give me a job to do, I will find it on my own! So it is very important for me that you become my guiding light. Yet, I also want you to be soft and cuddle with me in quiet times, since I actively look for bonding, reassurance, and safety. I am good with kiddos, but I will prefer kiddos 6+ since I - for now - get excited and might scratch them by accident. Also, I highly benefit from tolerant and playful siblings who can help me balance when the puppyhood zoomies come! Did I tell you that I am already potty trained? YUP!!! I am proudly potty trained. Regarding my eyes, I have Microphthalmia which “is a congenital condition where one or both eyeballs are abnormally small” on my right eye. My foster momma is seeing a little cloudiness on my left eye*, so I am going to visit an eye specialist in mid August. However, I have not presented any issue navigating the house, jumping the stairs, or avoiding any obstacles in the backyard. I am sure my foster momma will update any relevant info after our appointment. Are you ready to love me? * By the time of this writing on July 2nd. BDRA has voted against the use of eletrical fencing effective immediately.
