Story
My mom adopted Peggy as a puppy from Richmond ASPCA. After a few weeks my mom wasn’t sure if she could take on Puppy responsibilities. I took Peggy in and thought she would be a good fit for us! Peggy is a wonderful and loving dog! Great for families! Unfortunately she just isn’t the right fit for our family! She turned out to be quite bigger than expected and has had quite a bit of medical expenses that we can’t keep up with anymore. She has pretty severe skin allergies that are environmental. We have been trying our best to keep her on consistent allergy shots and medication to help with it as well as frequent medicated baths. Unfortunately we don’t have the time or money to keep up with her allergy maintenances! I really hope that Peggy can find someone who can give her the time and attention she needs!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   3 year old Biscuit may be a shy guy, but he is yearning for love from a giving person. He calls for attention from the window in his room. He is so grateful when you offer him a treat, but is frightened if you reach out to pet him. This cute hound is learning that being touched seems to be nice. One of our volunteers is winning him over with soft massage. Though 46 lb Biscuit walks fine on lead unless he is frightened. He need to be leashed with a gentle hand. We don’t know what happened in his past that makes him fear being collared. He was found as a stray along with another hound that seems to be his mom (he adores her). Biscuit loves other dogs and is coming to find out that people are pretty nice too. This boy really deserves the chance to have a secure home and loving care.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    May 4, 2024, 7:46 am
