Story
Hi there, I’m Teddy — a tan-and-white Dachshund with a big heart packed into a perfectly cuddle-sized body. 💛🤍 I’m about 2 years old and weigh 24 pounds, which makes me just right for laps, snuggles, and being your constant little shadow. 🐾I’m a very well-mannered gentleman and I do great for baths and nail trims (I know, impressive!). I get along wonderfully with cats, dogs of all sizes, and the elderly. I haven’t met younger kids yet, but I’d likely do best with calm, older children who understand giving a polite pup a little space when needed. I can be a bit timid at first, but with gentle reassurance, patience, and—let’s be honest—treats, I blossom into a loving, affectionate boy in no time. 💕 Once I’m comfortable, I’m a total snuggle bug and velcro dog who wants to be right by your side. I love to play and run around outside, and snow days? Absolute magic. ❄️✨I ride great in the car 🚗, listen well, and already know “down” and “no.” I respond especially well to clicker training, and I take pride in being a quick learner. I also have a chatty side—I like to talk and sing, which makes me a surprisingly good little guard dog. 🗣️🎶 Oh—and I’m very generous with affection. I love giving and receiving kisses, and I take my cuddle duties very seriously. 💋 If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion who just wants to be close to his people, I might be the perfect Teddy bear for you. 🧸💖You can also call the shelter at 479-394-5682 to find out more about me.****************All animals at HSO are current on their vaccinations and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
