About Harvey
Harvey is a 5-year-old male Corgi, a breed well known for its intelligence, loyalty, and easygoing charm. Like many Corgis, Harvey enjoys being close to his people and is happiest when he can relax by your side. This breed typically does well in homes that offer routine, companionship, and a balance of activity and downtime.
Harvey came to us as a stray, so his life before is a bit of a mystery. What we do know is that he has shown himself to be calm, friendly, and playful during his time with us. He enjoys human company and would love a comfy dog bed to sleep in. When it comes to other dogs, Harvey is generally indifferent. He isn't reactive but hasn't shown much interest in engaging with other dogs, preferring instead to focus on people.
Training & Support
Harvey would thrive with positive, reward-based training that emphasizes trust, patience, and encouragement. Harvey is very food motivated, so using treats, praise, and gentle guidance will help reinforce good behaviors and support his confidence as he settles into a new home.
Ideal Home
Harvey would do best in a home that values a calm, relaxed environment and enjoys spending quality time with their dog. He may do well in a home with adults, older children, or possibly a respectful cat, given proper introductions and time to adjust. While he could potentially live with another dog, he doesn't seek out canine companionship and would be just as happy as the center of attention.
With patience, consistency, and plenty of affection, Harvey will blossom into a loving, loyal companion who's always ready to curl up beside you.

All adult dogs at Animal Services have veterinary health checks, and are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and defleaed (if necessary) before going to their new homes.
