Meet Peach   Name: Peach Age: 5 months Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Welsh Corgi Mix Color: Brown & White Weight: 5.8 kg (12.8 lbs) Height: 32 cm (12.6 in)   Rescue Story Peach and her siblings were abandoned in the mountains and eventually ended up in a municipal shelter. Sadly, they were placed on the euthanasia list before being rescued and given a second chance at life.   Personality with People Peach is a sweet and affectionate puppy who loves people. She happily approaches both familiar faces and strangers, enjoys being petted, and often rubs against people for attention. She can be comfortably picked up with an arm under her belly, and once she feels comfortable, she’ll even roll over to show her belly.   Personality with Other Dogs Peach is friendly and social with other dogs. She enjoys greeting both familiar and unfamiliar dogs and often invites them to play. She is generally most comfortable with dogs of a similar size. If another dog challenges her, she prefers to avoid conflict rather than respond. While she enjoys canine companionship, very high-energy dogs can sometimes feel overwhelming to her.   Cats Her reaction to cats has not been observed yet, but a cat test can be arranged.   Energy Level Peach has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities and playtime, but after exercise, she settles down nicely and relaxes.   Walking & Leash Skills Because she has limited walking experience, Peach may freeze when she encounters something unfamiliar or scary. However, she is highly food-motivated and quickly regains confidence when encouraged with treats and positive guidance.   Additional Notes No food guarding toward people or other dogs Rarely barks Calm and quiet in a kennel/crate Currently eliminates outdoors in the exercise yard Gentle, easygoing temperament   Peach is a loving, gentle puppy looking for a family that will continue building her confidence and show her how wonderful the world can be. With her affectionate nature and sweet personality, she is sure to become a cherished companion. Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org Please also visit our Facebook and Instagram! Story
Heya everybody!! My name is Tun Tun and here is some info about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Corgi/Tibetan Spaniel Mix (Best guess!) Age: 2 yrs 8 months approx Gender: Male  Weight: 13 lbs (5.9 kg)  Height: 34 cm (paws to top of my head) Length: 53 cm (head to butt) Current Location: Victoria, BC RESCUE STORY - I was originally rescued from the overcrowded Gimje City Shelter in South Korea, where I spent my days in a small cage dreaming of a family to call my own. Thankfully, I was rescued and eventually made the long journey to Canada, arriving on February 11. After arriving, I spent three months in an adoptive home. Unfortunately, there was a bite incident involving a child, and it became clear that I needed additional support, structure, and training to help me succeed. Since then, I've spent time in a foster home and completed a four-week board-and-train program with Taylor and Mady at Penny's Pals, where I've worked hard on my confidence, communication, boundaries, and obedience skills! Now I'm looking for a temporary foster home or, even better, a forever family who can continue helping me thrive and become the very best version of myself. TEMPERAMENT - I am a good boy with a lot of love to give. I'm affectionate, loyal, intelligent, and I form strong bonds with my people. Once I trust you, I enjoy being close by and spending time together. My trainers have learned that I communicate very clearly when I'm feeling uncomfortable, and I do best when the people around me understand and respect those signals. I thrive in a structured environment with clear expectations and consistent routines. I can be a little bossy at times and sometimes like to be the "alpha" of the household, but I respond well to fair corrections and leadership from confident handlers. The truth is, I'm a bit misunderstood. I've been through a lot of change in a short period of time, and I'm still looking for my place in this world. With the right guidance, patience, and structure, I have so much potential to be an incredible companion. I get along well with other dogs and generally read social cues appropriately. I also enjoy relaxing, watching the world go by, and, of course, earning treats since I'm very food-motivated! MY IDEAL HOME - I'm looking for a home that can provide me with structure, consistency, and clear boundaries so I can continue being successful! My trainers have learned that I'm actually very good at communicating when I'm feeling uncomfortable. I give warning signs and body language that build gradually before I become overwhelmed. When the people around me recognize and respect those signals, I'm usually able to settle down and regulate myself just fine. Because of this, I'll do best with: Consistent routines and clear expectations Confident, dog-savvy humans who will continue my training People who are willing to learn and respect my body language A commitment to maintaining the structure and management strategies that have helped me succeed Patience while I continue building confidence and trust My trainers believe that I can potentially live safely in a home with children, but only if there is management, active supervision, and very clear boundaries that everyone consistently follows. If there are kids in the home, all family members need to be committed to respecting my space and following the same rules and routines. I also need a family that understands I'm still a work in progress (aren't we all!). If I become overly stressed or my warning signals are ignored, I may resort to nipping or biting. That's why my trainers recommend continuing with the tools and routines I've learned, including muzzle use when appropriate for safety. Most of all, I'm looking for people who will see past my mistakes and recognize the loving, loyal little dog underneath. I've worked really hard, and I have so much love to give. I may be a bit misunderstood, but with the right family by my side, I know I can continue growing into the wonderful companion I'm meant to be! ENERGY LEVEL - Medium  GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – In the right home with management, structure, and supervision. I have been tested with older children as you can see here, here and here! They just need to respect my boundaries, and I will happily respect theirs. See my "Ideal Home" above! Dogs – Yes! I get along and play with other pups very well! Cats – Unknown.  PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc., so my adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – Great! I have learned a lot with Penny's Pals and am such a happy boy when I get to go outside! House trained – Yes I sure am! Crate trained – work in progress. I know I SHOULD like my crate, but sometimes I like to yap about it. I will definitely settle! Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.  HEALTH NOTES: I am neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $840.00 CAD ($750.00 CAD + 5% GST and 7% PST). ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and its adoption process. She warms up to everyone immediately, with no shyness around men, women, or children. Her energy level is moderate, so she enjoys being active but is also happy to relax at home. She loves playing with other dogs and gets along well with dogs of all sizes, as long as they are friendly.BehavioursMolly shows no signs of separation anxiety. She grumbles and murmurs when she wants something, which is more endearing than disruptive.Health and DietMolly is spayed, dewormed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations as of February 2026. She eats dry food twice a day and has no known allergies.Ideal HomeMolly would do well in most home environments. She is good with people of all kinds and with dogs of all sizes. She thrives on attention and daily walks, but she is not demanding. A home where someone is around most of the time would be ideal, as she loves to stay close to her people. She is a genuinely lovely dog. Thankfully, all of her puppies have already found loving homes, and now it is Tully’s turn to find a family of her own.   ‍‍‍ Personality with People   Tully is an affectionate, social, and people-loving girl. She happily approaches both familiar people and strangers, leans in for affection, and enjoys being petted.   She loves women, men, and children alike, including children under 13 years old. Tully will often approach kids on her own to ask for pets and attention.   She is comfortable being picked up with an arm under her belly and, once she trusts someone, she will gladly roll over for belly rubs. If you stop petting her too soon, don’t be surprised if she politely asks for more!   Personality with Other Dogs   Tully is just as friendly with dogs as she is with people. She eagerly greets both familiar and unfamiliar dogs and often invites them to play.   She is especially gentle and nurturing with younger dogs and puppies. In fact, puppies with their own mothers often choose to follow Tully because of her sweet and caring personality.   She generally gets along best with dogs that are similar in size or smaller than herself.   Cats   Tully has not been tested with cats, but a cat test can be arranged for approved applicants.   Energy Level   Tully has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor adventures and activities, but once exercise time is over, she is happy to relax quietly by your side.   Walks & Exercise   Because Tully required medical treatment after her rescue, she has not had many opportunities for regular walks yet. Her friendly nature, moderate energy level, and compact size make her a wonderful fit for many different households, including families with respectful children or another friendly dog.   After raising her puppies and watching them find homes of their own, it’s finally Tully’s turn to be someone’s beloved family member.   Could Tully be the missing piece of your family? Good with dogs,
Story
Hi future family, My name is Haeram, and I’m a 5-month-old Welsh Corgi × Jindo mix boy weighing around 8kg. I have short little legs, fluffy soft fur, and a bright happy smile that makes people laugh without even realizing it. Everywhere I go, people tell me how cute and cheerful I look! Before I was rescued, my sister and I were wandering around country roads together. We were still very young, and it was a dangerous place for puppies to grow up. Thankfully, kind people rescued us before anything bad happened, and now I’m safe, healthy, and waiting for my forever family. I really love people. Even when I meet someone for the first time, I usually walk over happily to say hello because I enjoy attention and affection so much. I also get along very well with other dogs, so I could fit nicely into a home with another furry sibling too. Even though I’m still just a puppy, I’m already trying my best to learn! My potty training success rate is very high, and I already know some basic commands like “sit,” “paw,” and “come.” I enjoy walks and love spending time doing activities with people. Being together makes me happiest. But I’m still only five months old. That means I’m still learning about the world every single day. When I move into a new home, I may feel nervous at first. I could make little potty mistakes while adjusting, or I might chew things and get playful because I’m curious about everything around me. Those aren’t “bad behaviors” — they’re simply part of growing up as a puppy. I’ll need time to learn your family’s routines, house rules, walking paths, and how to feel comfortable when left alone. If you guide me patiently and kindly, I promise I’ll learn quickly and grow into an amazing companion. I really love connecting with people, and I respond very well to praise and positive training. If we spend time walking, playing, learning, and building trust together, I know I’ll soon become a true member of your family. I may not be a “finished” dog yet, but that also means we can grow together. For a family who wants to experience the joy of raising a puppy, watching me learn new things, and making beautiful memories together, I know I could become a very special companion. I can already imagine myself following you around the house on my tiny little legs, wagging my tail, and being part of your everyday life. I’m waiting for the family who will walk beside me, grow with me, and love me forever. Love, Haeram 🐾

Good with dogs,
Story
Hi, future family 🧡 My name is Nut, and I’m a 1-year-old boy with a round little body, short legs, and a face that makes people smile the moment they see me. I’m about 10kg, and people say I look like a mix of Shiba Inu, Welsh Corgi, and Jindo. Somehow, I got the best parts of all three — a bright Shiba face, the gentle charm of a Jindo, and tiny Corgi legs that wiggle along when I walk. Apparently, the way I toddle toward people is “extremely cute.” I hear that a lot. But before I got this second chance, my story was almost over. I was rescued from a city shelter just before euthanasia. If help had come any later, I wouldn’t be here today writing this to you. Even though my past was difficult, I still love people very much. I never stopped hoping someone kind would choose me. I’m actually pretty friendly when meeting new people. I like staying close to humans, and if you look at me or talk to me, my tail starts wagging almost immediately. I really enjoy attention, affection, and simply being near the people I love. I also get along well with other dogs and enjoy running around or relaxing beside dog friends. I do have one funny little habit though… Sometimes I get a tiny bit jealous. If another dog is getting all the attention, I might quietly squeeze my way in or try to remind everyone, “Hey… I’m here too!” But it’s not aggressive at all — it’s more like a little kid asking not to be forgotten. Honestly, I just love people so much that I want to be included in the love too. There’s something important I hope you understand about me: Living in a real home will be completely new for me. I’ve spent my life in shelter environments, so things like house routines, walking politely on leash, waiting alone, potty habits, and understanding family life are all things I’m still learning. At first, I might make mistakes, get overly curious, feel nervous in a new place, or show lots of puppy energy. But that doesn’t mean I’m a “bad” dog — it just means I’ve never truly had the chance to learn what family life feels like. Rescue dogs like me sometimes need time to adjust. For the first few days or weeks, I may seem shy, overwhelmed, or different from what you expected. New environments can feel scary at first. But if you stay patient and give me time, I promise I’ll slowly begin to relax, trust, and show you more and more of my real personality. And I think… my real personality is pretty lovable. I’m the little dog who trots after you on short legs. The one who looks at you with bright eyes whenever you call my name. The one who simply wants to be loved and included in your life. Once, I was standing at the edge of goodbye. Now, I’m waiting for a forever family who will give me a warm home, kind patience, and a life where I never have to feel unwanted again. If you choose me, I’ll spend the rest of my life loving you with my whole heart. 🧡
