Story
Hi there my name is Little! I found my way into the care of the BCSPCA due to no fault of my own but my owner could no longer care for me. I'm approximately a year old and once I am neutered I will be ready for my furever home. I love to play fetch and tug-of-war and go on long walks with my person! I may have little legs but I have lots of energy. I could maybe live with a cat in the home and/or another friendly dog. Do I seem like a pawfect fit for your family? Apply today! Primary Color: Tri Color Weight: 13 Age: 1yrs 0mths 0wks

Story
Ogil is in a Toronto foster home. Ogil is a little shy at first but warms up quickly, revealing her true personality with a bit of time. She can be easily lifted and carried with no problem. Once she feels comfortable, she will happily show her belly for attention. When it comes to other dogs, Ogil is generally not too interested. However, if she finds a dog with a similar energy level, she will engage in play. Otherwise, she prefers focusing on people over other dogs. During walks, she is more attentive to her handler than to stray cats or small animals. Ogil has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities and is very calm indoors. On the leash, she may pull a bit due to her excitement to go outside, but she calms down within a few minutes. She does not exhibit resource guarding towards people or other dogs and is not a barker. Ogil is outdoor potty trained. Ogil would thrive in a home where she can receive plenty of attention and love. If you think she is the ONE, please contact our team. Story
🐾 Hi there! I’m Igil, a 2-year-old Jindo/Corgi mix, looking for my forever home. 🏡 I had a tough start, abandoned in a rural farm with my family. Luckily, a kind person rescued me, my five siblings, and our mom. 🌸 At first, I might be a little shy. I need some time to get used to new surroundings and to process everything. I don’t mind pets from strangers, but I might freeze up a bit. You can carry me around, but please be gentle at first. Once I warm up, I’ll wag my tail and seek your attention with a cute smile! 😊 🐶 I’m more comfortable around dogs my size. Big dogs can be a bit overwhelming for me. Introductions should be slow and in a neutral area because I can be protective of my space and food. I might growl at first, but once I feel safe, I’m ready to play! 💤 My energy levels are low to moderate. I enjoy playing for a few minutes, then I need some time to rest and relax. I’m perfectly house-trained and don’t bark much. If I get really lonely and stuck in a room for too long, I might howl a bit like a wolf. 🚶‍♂️ Walks can make me anxious, so I might pull on the leash. I’m working on building my confidence and getting used to outdoor sounds. I’m a super gentle and calm boy who needs a family to show me the world and help me gain confidence. Once you see my cute little face, you’ll fall in love with me instantly! 💕 Hope to meet you soon! 🐾 To see more videos:https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIsLTtIpe3Jz6grJBJKsvcnbJjQXhtC7S

Meet Rudi! He is such a gentle and adorable boy who loves people so much. He shakes his tail and lay on his back at even strangers. Rudi is social and well mannered. He is good with most of other doggie friends. He doesn’t seems to like the one who bothers him much. He doesn’t bark unnecessarily. He can bark couple of times when he get nervous though. Rudi has no seperation anxieties. He doesn’t show any aggressive behaviours either. He is good at bathing and gromming. He is calm and gentle boy. He will be with you and adores you forever :) Allergy/health issues: Allergy None/ He likes eating food and eats fast. Story
Hello, humans!  My name's Benny/Bennee aka Benny Boy and I'm SO excited to have caught your eye!  I'm an energetic, adorable 2 year old corgi mix with special needs.  I feel so lucky to have a second lease on life here in Canada-- now I just need the right person/family to scoop me up and bring me to my forever home.  I was born in a small village in the Middle East and when I was one month old, a human found me whimpering under a tree all alone.  The whereabouts of my mother and littermates were unkown, so they kindly brought me to a shelter where I stayed for 1.5 years with other dogs in a small room and yard.  Even though the conditions weren't the greatest at the crowded shelter, it provided me the opportunity to connect with people who sponsored my trip to B.C. in December 2023.  Since my arrival, I've stayed with two awesome foster families who have been attentive to my incontinence problems; providing me with belly bands and diapers to wear while indoors.  A lot of the times I alert my handlers about my need to eliminate by going to the door, but sometimes I can't control it. The reason for my incontinence has not been diagnosed, but speculated to be neurologically related. I am a very friendly and sociable boy who gets along very well with other dogs. In fact, playing with other dogs is one of my favourite things to do so I would love a home where I will have a playful canine companion or where I will get contact with other dogs at dog parks. I can be a bit timid when meeting new humans, particularly men, but it doesn't take me long before I am seeking their affection. I am eager to please, and very food motivated so training me is a breeze. Being a very gentle soul who doesn't have any resource guarding, I am also great with kids.  Sometimes my joy for life makes me get the "zoomies" and I race around happily in large circles, and of course always staying close to my human. Leaving me home alone for a few hours is no problem as I have no separation anxiety.  A home with a fenced yard is ideal for me so I can run, explore, and eliminate without my diaper/belly band.  I am neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adoption fee is by donation.  Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess. Loved at Last Dog Rescue is not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. ##1675200##

Story
Due to the present confrontational Middle East environment where this dog resides, airlines are minimally operating. He/She may therefore be delayed in arriving to Canada. He/She will eventually be sent, but we have no specified timeframe at this moment. If you are willing to wait, we and this dog appreciate your patience Hiya, hiya, hiya, I'm MOKAH (Milka) and here is a bit about who I am:Breed: Corgi/Labrador Retriever mixAge: 9 monthsGender: femaleWeight: 33 lbsHeight: 13 inchesHighlights: playful, quick learner, cuddle bug, loving Sweet & creamy, like my name implies, you'll love the warmth of my personality. I am an adorable pup with mocha coloring. My warm, muted brown puppy eyes will make you feel zen.Found on the street in the Middle East, I was in need of some proper care and nutrition. I was terrified and starving! It was clear that I had once belonged to a family, because I was so well-behaved. The shelter wasn't the right place for me, so I've been placed in a caring foster home until I could find my forever family in CanadaBeing a playful puppy, I love being around people and other dogs and cats. My foster family has 6 dogs and 4 cats and I love playing with them. My favorite pastimes are being adored and cuddling with my human. It will be nice to have activities to do. It would be a dream come true if I have a furry brother or sister to play with to release my puppy energy. You'll be happy to know too, I am not a barker. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. [TURKEY] *Dogs receive 4D SNAP tests - which include: Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis. ##2062840##
