Windsor is a 4 year old pure bred (AKC registered) Pembroke Welsh Corgi. IMPORTANT: Windsor is NOT HOUSEBROKEN AT ALL. Please do not apply to adopt Windsor if you are not prepared to start housebreaking from scratch. We will provide free professional training support to help with this process, but want an adopter that is prepared for the patience it will require. Windsor would do best as the only dog in the home. He has lived with cats before and doesn't hurt them, but will occassionally antagonize them and make them run - so if you have cats, you would need to be comfortable with doing slow introductions and setting boundaries. A cat that stands its ground would probably be better for Windsor than a skittish cat that runs. At this time we are looking for a home with older kids (10+) only. Windsor IS NOT HOUSEBROKEN or crate trained. Windsor is healthy, current on vaccines, neutered and micro chipped. His adoption fee is $150 and includes free dog training for life (including our fun group classes!), 30 days of free pet insurance through MetLife and a free bath and nail trim at Scenthound. Beau is a loving, affectionate 5 year old Corgi/Heeler mix who has been part of our family since he was 8 weeks old. His birthday is 4/26/2021. Beau is a very smart, athletic and food driven dog who loves spending time with his people. He is house-trained, neutered, healthy and up to date on his vaccinations. He enjoys being outdoors, getting exercise and loves belly rubs. He has a very affectionate side and can be an incredibly sweet companion. Beau does have some behavioral challenges and can become uncomfortable with people attempting to pet or handle him and may warn by snarling or growling. He has bitten in the past and has broken skin. We have not been able to identify one consistent trigger so his behavior should be watched carefully. Beau needs an experienced, patient adopter who understands dog behavior and is willing to give him space and positive-reinforcement training. We love Beau so much and just need to find the right home for him.

Apply to Adopt Me! Meet Jackie! This adorable 4-year-old, 11-lb. chihuahua mix looks like a little chi-corgi and has a heart just as big as her personality! Jackie was a last-call dog at the shelter due to a hernia that required emergency surgery. Thankfully, she was given a second chance, and today she’s healthy, happy and ready for her next chapter! Jackie may be timid when you first meet her, but once she trusts you, she bonds with her entire heart. She has medium energy and LOVES to work! When she gets excited, her little body spins, and her tail wags as fast as it possibly can. It’s impossible not to smile watching her. She also enjoys playing with toys. She gets along with other dogs but is more of a laid-back companion than a playful pup. Her favorite thing is being close to her people and soaking up all the cuddles she can get. Since she is timid upon meeting, if the home has kids they should be older, respectful and know how to approach her calmly. She needs to build a relationship with her people, and learn trust with strangers. We do want an active family for her, one who can take her on daily walks, on adventures with them, and include her as part of the family. Jackie is crate-trained is currently completing a board-and-train program, where she’s learning excellent leash manners, recall, and a solid place/stay. Since she is in a kennel, we are not 100% sure if she is house trained, but we think it is best if she can be taken out on a consistent schedule. After everything this little girl has been through, she deserves a family who will give her the love, security and happily-ever-after she’s been waiting for.
