Meet Polka Dot!
Decatur, IL
leiashope.org
Polka Dot is an adorable female Cowboy Corgi born on December 13, 2025. A Cowboy Corgi is a mix between a Corgi and an Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler), combining the best traits of two intelligent, energetic working breeds. Corgis are known for their playful personalities, loyalty, and big-dog confidence packed into a small body. Blue Heelers are highly intelligent, athletic, and eager to have a job to do. The result is a smart, affectionate pup who loves to be involved in whatever her people are doing.
Polka Dot is a very sweet, happy girl who loves both people and other dogs. She enjoys being held and getting attention from her humans, but she also has a playful side and absolutely loves romping around with the other dogs in her foster home. When she’s ready to relax, she’s perfectly content heading into her kennel on her own for some quiet rest time.
This girl is already showing what a great companion she will be. She rides well in the car, does great during baths, and enjoys spending time with her people. She is learning leash skills and taking everything in stride with her cheerful personality.
Because of her breed mix, Polka Dot will do best with an active family who enjoys being on the move. Cowboy Corgis are smart, energetic dogs who thrive when they have outlets for their energy and brains. She’s not likely to be a couch potato, but she will make an incredible companion for hikes, outdoor adventures, playtime in the yard, and daily activities with her family.
Polka Dot is looking for a home that understands the needs of an intelligent, active puppy and is excited to include her as part of their everyday life.
